Krong Nang district will establish 4 new commune-level administrative units.

The People's Council of Krong Nang district, term VIII, 2021-2026, has just held the Twelfth Thematic Session to review, comment and vote to approve a number of important contents on the arrangement of administrative units (ADUs) at the provincial and commune levels in the district.

At the meeting, delegates listened to the District People's Committee present a proposal and report on the policy of arranging provincial and communal administrative units in the district; and a summary report on the results of collecting voters' opinions and voting results of the People's Councils of communes and towns related to the arrangement of provincial and communal administrative units.

The project to arrange commune-level administrative units in the district is expected to be arranged from 12 communes and towns (1 town, 11 communes) into 4 new commune-level administrative units (reducing 8 communes and towns, reaching 66.66%). Specifically, establishing Krong Nang commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Krong Nang town, Phu Loc commune and Ea Ho commune, with the current working headquarters at the District People's Committee; establishing Dlie Ya commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Ea Tan, Dlie Ya and Ea Toh communes, with the current working headquarters at Dlie Ya commune.

Establish Tam Giang commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Ea Tam, Cu Klong and Tam Giang communes, with its headquarters located at the current Ea Tam commune People's Committee; establish Phu Xuan commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Ea Dah, Phu Xuan and Ea Puk communes, with its headquarters located at the current Phu Xuan commune.

The delegates voted unanimously to pass the Resolution approving the policy of arranging provincial-level administrative units, merging Phu Yen and Dak Lak provinces into a new province called Dak Lak province, with the administrative-political center located in Buon Ma Thuot City (currently Dak Lak province). The results of collecting opinions from the People's Council delegates of communes and towns on the policy of arranging provincial-level administrative units, 95.25% of the delegates agreed; the results of the opinions of the People's Council delegates of communes and towns on the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units in the district, 83.39% of the delegates agreed.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu An - Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Krong Nang District Party Committee gave a speech at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Committee member and District Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu An emphasized that the implementation of building a two-level government (province and commune) is a major policy of the Party and State on restructuring the apparatus of the political system. Therefore, the Party Committee and the government of Krong Nang district are urgently and seriously implementing it with the expectation of gradually streamlining the organization, reducing administrative costs, saving the budget, improving the operational efficiency, management and administration effectiveness of local governments, best resolving the legitimate rights and interests of the people; at the same time, maintaining the great solidarity bloc closely linked with the community, maximizing the potential and advantages of each locality.
