On the afternoon of March 29, in Da Nang City, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang Province held a media conference on the opening program of the Tourism Year and the 3rd Tuyen Quang International Hot Air Balloon Festival - 2024.

This is the first activity of a series of cultural, sports and tourism events and activities in 2024 to introduce and promote the potential and advantages of tourism development, cultural heritage values, resources and tourism products of Tuyen Quang province; thereby stimulating tourism demand, attracting domestic and international tourists, investors, promoting tourism development, and soon making tourism an important economic sector of the province.

The event will take place from April 27 to May 2, Tuyen Quang City (Tuyen Quang Province).

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Hoang Viet Phuong - Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee said that 2024 is the third year Tuyen Quang province organizes the Tourism Year program.

This is also the third year that the province has organized the largest international hot air balloon festival in the country, with the participation of many countries around the world, to create a strong effect and spread, build the tourism brand of Tuyen Quang as a "safe and friendly destination", and promote the province's tourism to develop further.

Within the framework of the event, there will be a series of cultural, sports and tourism activities with the highlight being the opening ceremony of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Tourism Year 2024 program at 8:00 p.m. on April 27 at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Tuyen Quang City); opening of the 3rd Tuyen Quang International Hot Air Balloon Festival - 2024 at 6:00 a.m. on April 27 at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square; demonstration and service for tourists to experience hot air balloon flying, including 22 hot air balloons (10 free-flying hot air balloons, 5 hanging hot air balloons, 7 demonstration hot air balloons) piloted by pilots from the UK, Australia, Spain, the Netherlands, Japan, China, Thailand and Vietnam.

Many other events and activities include: International Balloon Light Festival combined with Disc Jockey (DJ) band performances from 7:30 p.m. on April 28, 29 and 30; exchange activities between students and international balloon pilots; some free flights for ethnic minorities, reporters from some press agencies, celebrities (Facebookers, YouTubers, TikTokers...).

Within the framework of the Opening Ceremony of Tuyen Quang Tourism Year 2024, there will also be activities to display and introduce tourism products and craft villages of Tuyen Quang in 2024, taking place from April 25 to May 1, with the participation of more than 100 booths of Tuyen Quang province and provinces and cities across the country; conference connecting investment, trade, tourism and craft villages in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Tuyen Quang; launching a typical tourism product with the theme "My Lam hot spring - Miraculous spring"; Tuyen Quang province's open women's football tournament for ethnic minorities; 2024 National Club Badminton Tournament in Tuyen Quang...
