BDK.VN - On April 28, 2025, at the Ben Tre City Party Committee hall, the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Ben Tre City (Steering Committee) held a conference to review the Program "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in Ben Tre City in 2025. Awarding the decision to donate houses and gifts to 7 poor households.

Accordingly, in Ben Tre City, there are 32 houses (21 newly built, 11 repaired) that are eligible for construction and meet the criteria according to Decision No. 55/QD-BXD of the Ministry of Construction. Up to now, 32/32 houses have been started, reaching 100%, of which, the most disadvantaged households are households with 13 newly built houses and 8 repaired houses, the rest are new construction and repair of houses for households with meritorious services, poor and near-poor households. The total cost of implementation is 1.59 billion VND (budget source 570 million VND; other socialized sources 1 billion VND).

In addition, the number of households that do not meet the criteria according to Decision No. 55/QD-BXD of the Ministry of Construction is 37. However, Ben Tre City has also mobilized socialized funding to start construction of 5 houses.

At the conference, 7 households in difficult circumstances who were supported to build houses came to receive the decision to donate houses and received gifts from the local government such as household appliances, cash... Thereby, to encourage the spirit and give more strength to the disadvantaged households to rise up and stabilize their lives.

This is an encouraging result, demonstrating the high determination and initial effectiveness of the Program to practically celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). This result has brought much joy and changes in the lives of dozens of households with housing difficulties in the area...”.
