In the first quarter of 2025, Quang Ninh Electricity Company provided safe electricity, serving socio-economic development and daily needs of people in the province. In particular, the Company also ensured safe and reliable electricity supply, serving political events and festivals taking place in the province.
Accordingly, the Company has implemented many synchronous solutions, notably: Strengthening technical management, regularly monitoring the operating status of power lines and transformer stations; promptly implementing load sharing, balancing, phase switching, and transformer swapping measures to increase the capacity of power supply for loads. Along with that, the Company has also swapped and increased the capacity of 79 transformers; balanced and phased 754 times and shared 01 time, ensuring stable power supply for domestic and production loads in the area. In addition, the Company also applies new technological solutions in operation management; regularly uses thermal imaging cameras and partial discharge measuring devices in inspection work to detect and handle incident risks; strengthens hotline work, as well as repairs, connections, and insulation cleaning while the lines are still energized with 319 insulation cleaning sessions, 146 connection and repair sessions.
In the construction investment work, from the beginning of 2025, PC Quang Ninh has proactively worked with relevant parties, investors, and contractors to renovate the power grid, focusing all resources and efforts to complete the energization of the stages as quickly as possible. Up to now, PC Quang Ninh has energized phase 7 of the project to improve the transmission capacity of the 110kV double-circuit line 173, 174 T500 Quang Ninh - Giap Khau - Ha Tu - Ha Lam, contributing to stable power supply for people in Ha Long city; energized the project to increase the capacity of the T1 transformer of the 110kV Tien Yen substation from 16 MVA to 40 MVA to ensure power supply for the socio-economic development of Tien Yen district; built new and renovated 10.7 km of medium-voltage lines, 238.8 km of low-voltage lines; Construct 43 new distribution substations, replace and increase the capacity of 47 distribution substations with a total capacity of 39.72 MVA. Energize the projects put into use before March 31, 2025, contributing to ensuring electricity supply during the hot season of 2025.
Thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions, PC Quang Ninh has ensured electricity supply to serve customers, as well as fully completed the assigned economic and technical targets. Accordingly, the Company's production and business activities achieved a total commercial electricity output of 1,475.88 million kWh in the first quarter of 2025, down 2.57% over the same period in 2024; the average electricity price implemented cumulatively up to March 2025 was 2,045.22 VND/kWh, up 113.9 VND/kWh over the same period in 2024; electricity revenue of 3,018.51 billion VND, up 3.18% over the same period in 2024.
In the implementation of cashless electricity bill collection, by the end of March 2025, the rate of customers paying electricity bills without using cash in the whole Company reached 93.3% of the total number of paying customers, an increase of 4.83% over the same period.
Regarding the service registration situation via the National Public Service Portal and the Customer Care Website of the Northern Power Corporation, in the first 3 months of 2025, the Company received and resolved 3,026 customer requests for electricity services (excluding electricity bill payment services).
Regarding customer care, PC Quang Ninh has closely coordinated with the Northern Electricity Customer Care Center (19006769) to promptly resolve customer complaints about power outages, power reduction to create the power grid, electricity bills, as well as fully and promptly update information about power outages, planned power reduction to send text messages to customers.
In March, the Earth Hour Campaign 2025 with the message "Green Shift - Green Future" was sent to the community with a call to save electricity, save energy, protect the environment and not only take place in 1 hour, but all organizations and individuals need to remember and do it regularly throughout 365 days of the year. In addition, the affiliated Electricity Department has promoted the contents of economical and efficient use of electricity, environmental protection at customer transaction locations, headquarters of units; at the same time, mobilized organizations, agencies and customers to turn off lights and unnecessary electrical equipment during Earth Hour. After 1 hour of turning off the lights from 20:30 - 21:30 on March 22, 2025, Quang Ninh saved over 25,000 kWh of electricity.
The second quarter of each year is the peak of the dry season and the most stressful time of the year in terms of power supply for the entire system. The key task of Quang Ninh Electricity Company is to continue to focus on ensuring safe operation of the power grid system in hot and unusual weather conditions, as well as providing safe power supply to serve socio-economic development and people's lives . At the same time, put into operation completed investment projects; continue to promote digital transformation; promote the use of electricity economically, safely and effectively... to strive to fully complete the assigned production and business plan targets for 2025.
