Along with the scorching summer sun on the Central region, the 10th grade entrance exam makes the days of June "hotter" than ever.

To further motivate the students and reduce the worries and hardships of their parents, there have been many meaningful initiatives initiated and maintained by the students themselves, including the volunteer program "Supporting the exam season" through developing a reading culture of the Book & Action Club of Thanh Chuong 3 High School, under the leadership of Thanh Chuong 3 Wisdom House.

On June 5-6, Nghe An province organized the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year, with more than 44,000 candidates registering to take the exam at 69 public high schools. At Thanh Chuong 3 High School, more than 500 candidates participated in the exam with the determination to pass the exam to the school of their dreams.

With the message "Spreading reading culture - Giving a sincere heart to receive a beautiful smile" , young people in Thanh Chuong 3 Book & Action Club, along with volunteers, gave books to parents while waiting for candidates to participate in the exam.

To prepare for the activity of "opening the book warehouse, giving joy" during the exam season, the Book and Action Club of Thanh Chuong 3 High School has selected good books, rich in humanistic values ​​and educational significance to make spiritual gifts for parents.

A school yard covered with green trees, simple plastic chairs, paper fans and good books are ready to wait for readers - the most beautiful and simple library in harmony with the sunny and windy nature of the Central region has been created by young men and women in green shirts with all their love and youthful enthusiasm. The stressful and anxious time waiting for their children to do their homework suddenly turns into moments of joy and relaxation with humorous stories or thoughtful contemplation about the profound value that books bring. Through that, parents also have the opportunity to understand more deeply the psychology of adolescents as well as their interests, passions and future visions to better accompany their children.

Looking at the drops of sweat on their shirts, rolling down their cheeks but their eyes sparkling with joy, it was enough to feel the meaning that this activity brought. An old man over 60 confided to the volunteers in the club: "I love books, thank you for bringing books here, so that my time sitting here is not wasted".

Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Head of the Book and Action Club of Thanh Chuong 3 High School and also the main person in charge of coordinating activities at Thanh Chuong 3 NNTT shared: “Youth only comes once in a lifetime, so let's create pictures of our youth. Today, I am wearing a green volunteer shirt to participate in supporting the exam season and more specially, I myself am spreading the reading culture to everyone, giving books to parents, receiving smiles and thanks from children and parents, and myself admiring the image of people enjoying and contemplating the pages of books. These are truly the most beautiful memories in the picture of my youth”.

Another member of the Book and Action Club, Nguyen Hai Yen, confided: “For me, the exam support activities combined with spreading the reading culture are necessary. Because the reading culture is gradually fading due to the changes of the times. Through the club's activities, I believe that parents, students and volunteers have a different perspective on reading. I think we should organize other activities to spread the reading culture everywhere, not just stopping at the school gate, so that it becomes more and more popular.”

At the end of the two days of the 10th grade entrance exam, the image that left the deepest impression was the green volunteer shirts that softened the summer sun and the hot atmosphere of the exam, spreading joy and hope. The enthusiasm, dynamism and creativity of the volunteers in supporting the candidates and their families inspired the whole society about the spirit of volunteering, contributing youth to bring good things to the community and the country.

It is known that the free book distribution in the "Supporting Exam Season" Program is an annual activity and has become a beautiful tradition of Thanh Chuong 3 School. Hopefully, this meaningful activity of spreading reading culture will be a bright spot that is replicated nationwide.
