Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith affirmed that the Laos-Vietnam International Port Terminal No. 3 project is a symbol of Vietnam-Laos friendship in the new era; a project that contributes to the strong implementation of the strategy of "turning Laos from a landlocked country into a connected country"; a model of strategic cooperation, with special significance in politics, economics, national defense and security.

The completion of this important cooperation project is the result of a long period of effort, determination and close cooperation from both sides.

The two leaders of Vietnam and Laos expressed their determination to effectively implement high-level agreements between the two countries.

Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith sincerely thanked Vietnam for always giving Laos the highest priority, demonstrated through its support, assistance, and wholeheartedness during the resistance war against the common enemy as well as in the current cause of national defense and construction.

On this occasion, the two leaders expressed their determination to effectively implement high-level agreements between Vietnam and Laos, including the results of the recent State visit to Laos by President Luong Cuong, in order to further develop the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in the new situation.
