According to Mr. Thai Viet Tuong - Director of the Department of Education and Training, the organization of this year's high school graduation exam is more difficult because it is organized for both the old and new programs; taking place in the context and situation of preparing for the province's merger.

Furthermore, district-level activities will end from July 1, while organizing the exam on June 26 and 27 has many implications for the district level, especially security and order protection when district-level police no longer exist.

"This year, the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee have issued early instructions on strengthening the direction of the exam, as they issued a directive at the end of 2024. Therefore, the entire industry must try to do a good job of preparing and organizing to ensure a safe, serious, quality exam with no errors," Mr. Tuong emphasized.

The conference disseminated and thoroughly grasped the new and basic points of the 2025 high school graduation exam regulations and the 2025 university and college admission regulations; provided guidance on organizing the high school graduation exam, considering and recognizing high school graduation in 2025 and implementing the work plan, registering for university and college admission. In addition, training on the use of the high school graduation exam management system was provided.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26 and 27. Candidates taking the exam under the 2006 general education program will take the subjects of Literature, Mathematics, natural science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or social science (History, Geography, Civic Education), foreign language; candidates taking the 2018 general education program (current) will take the subjects of Literature, Mathematics, and an optional exam (two subjects).

Quang Nam is expected to have a total of nearly 19,000 candidates taking the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. In the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, Quang Nam had 17,292 candidates taking the exam, with 16,373 candidates graduating (98.5%).
