The results of the visit were assessed as comprehensive and mutually beneficial. The two countries signed and announced many important cooperation agreements in key areas such as high technology, innovation, high-quality human resource training, digital transformation, infrastructure development, clean energy and climate change response.
Japan pledges to continue accompanying Vietnam on the path of rapid and sustainable development, while Vietnam affirms its determination to improve the investment environment, creating the most favorable conditions for Japanese enterprises to do business with peace of mind in the long term. This is truly a model of cooperation, where both sides develop together, prosper together, and benefit together.
Notably, Japan’s support is not limited to investment capital or official development assistance (ODA) – which are already very important – but has also been strongly expanded to support technology transfer, innovation and human resource training. These are key areas that help Vietnam successfully achieve its goal of transforming its growth model from breadth to depth, from cheap labor to a knowledge-based and creative economy, from processing and assembling to manufacturing and designing products with higher added value.
In the journey to reach higher levels of the global value chain, Vietnam is fortunate to have Japan as a dedicated and persistent companion.
