Many activities for workers
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Do Chi Thanh, Deputy General Director of Petrovietnam, said that the launching ceremony of "Workers' Month, Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene; launching creative labor emulation, improving productivity, efficiency, exceeding the targets of the 2025 management plan, launching the contest of writing short stories, memoirs, poems and clips to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Petrovietnam's establishment; honoring and praising outstanding oil and gas workers and creative workers in 2025 and the period 2020-2025" is an event of great significance to the activities of the Group and Petrovietnam workers.
According to Mr. Do Chi Thanh, in 2024, despite facing many difficulties, thanks to perseverance, effective management solutions, along with the determination of leaders at all levels of the Group's units, and the continuous efforts of the collective of employees, Petrovietnam achieved outstanding achievements.
Petrovietnam has set a new record in revenue and profit in the industry's more than 60-year history and 50 years of construction and development of the oil and gas industry. The above achievements are even more meaningful when by 2025, key oil and gas factories and projects are operated stably, continuously and safely, without serious accidents, incidents, fires and explosions; many new projects and projects are put into operation and exploitation safely; the frequency of accidents and incidents is low; the health of workers is well taken care of.
In order to effectively implement the theme of workers' month and the theme of the month of action on occupational safety and hygiene in 2025, Petrovietnam's leaders requested the group to carry out the tasks. Specifically, the Industry Union closely directed the trade unions at all levels in the Group to continue to maintain and promote patriotic emulation movements, focusing on the emulation movement to complete the management plan targets of the Group and units, emulation of creative labor, closely following and effectively organizing the program "Oil and gas innovation" to deploy among the workforce, turning the emulation movement into a driving force for development.
Building a safe working environment, promoting sustainable development of production and business activities; continuing to maintain and continuously improve the Safety-Quality-Environment Management System throughout the Group. At the same time, deploying the application of the PSM technology safety management system at units operating technologically complex oil and gas projects to contribute to improving safety management in the Group's operations, maintaining safe and effective operations and ensuring security and safety of existing gas projects, new projects/projects put into operation...

Mr. Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, said that the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union is one of the first group trade unions to launch the Workers' Month, the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health, and to honor outstanding oil and gas workers for the past 12 consecutive years with very impressive results. Hundreds of billions of VND were donated to support workers in difficult circumstances, dozens of union warm houses, and more than 700 outstanding oil and gas workers were honored during the Workers' Month.
Launching the Composition Contest towards 50 years of Petrovietnam
At the event, Petrovietnam also officially launched the "Petrovietnam Imprint" Short Story, Reportage and Poetry Writing Contest and the "Petrovietnam & I" Clip Contest. The contest is not only an opportunity to look back on the glorious development journey of the Group but also creates a special artistic space for the community, from officers and employees to people who love the oil and gas industry, to share stories, emotions, memories and beliefs in Petrovietnam.
At the same time, through the contest, the organizers hope to arouse creativity, pride, responsibility and love for the oil and gas industry - the country's key economic sector.
Not only within the industry, the contest is an opportunity to connect Petrovietnam with the social community, with artists, journalists, economic experts, and individuals interested in Petrovietnam. Valuable works submitted to the contest will contribute to building trust, creating motivation for Petrovietnam to innovate, integrate and develop sustainably.
With the theme "The Vietnamese working class takes the lead in entering a new era" and the Month of action on occupational safety and hygiene with the theme "Strengthening assessment, identifying hazards and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace", the activities in the month aim to take care of jobs, material and spiritual life, ensure safety for workers; improve knowledge, awareness and compliance with laws on occupational safety and hygiene of workers and employers.
On behalf of Petrovietnam's member units, Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company, pledged to effectively implement the activities of Workers' Month in conjunction with the month of action for occupational safety and hygiene; well organize the "May Dialogue" program to receive and implement solutions to workers' issues, ensuring income, material and spiritual life for union members and workers.
BSR will implement specific solutions and action programs on preventing occupational accidents and diseases, improving working conditions, launching emulation, building a culture of occupational safety, promoting the mass movement of workers and laborers in occupational safety and hygiene; implementing activities of monitoring, coordinating and inspecting occupational safety and hygiene closely and effectively. BSR will continue to encourage union members and laborers to innovate, have initiatives, improve techniques, and apply modern technology to production, contributing to increasing labor productivity, improving management efficiency and competitiveness of the unit.
In addition, BSR continues to carry out social security activities well inside and outside the unit with activities of caring, visiting, supporting, and giving gifts of gratitude; continuing to implement the Oil and Gas Employee Charity Program to spread the noble gestures of oil and gas workers to the community.
