Smooth traffic

More than 10 years ago, if you came to Bu Gia Map commune, Bu Gia Map district or the areas of Dak Nhau and Dang Ha communes, Bu Dang district, everyone shook their heads in dismay, because the traffic system was mostly small, narrow, and slippery red dirt roads. However, currently, the rural traffic system, from the main commune routes to inter-village, inter-group, and inter-hamlet roads, are all paved with asphalt, concrete, spacious, clean, and inter-regional connections. Along with that, the system of schools in remote areas with a budget of tens of billions of VND has been invested in construction and put into use, creating a miraculously bright rural picture.

Many roads in remote communes of Dak Nhau, Bu Dang district have been invested in construction to connect smoothly .

Mr. Dieu Chon, Head of the Front Committee of Village 6, Doan Ket Commune, Bu Dang District, excitedly said: The traffic system today is spacious, clean, and convenient. That result is thanks to the attention and investment in rural infrastructure in general and in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in particular by our Party and State. In particular, the people of Doan Ket Commune enjoy many arterial roads, combined with the installation of street lights, thereby mobilizing people to plant flowers on both sides of the road to create a colorful rural picture. Currently, along with the infrastructure for the people, many spacious high-rise buildings have been built, the material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved and clearly improved.

As a remote, extremely disadvantaged commune, not only with NTM capital but also with national target programs, Bu Gia Map has transformed strongly thanks to a smooth traffic system. Vice Chairman of Bu Gia Map Commune People's Committee Nguyen Minh Phuc said: The whole commune has more than 100km of roads of all kinds, of which 18km of National Highway 14C passes through and nearly 10km of district roads have been 100% asphalted, spacious, and well-equipped, creating favorable and smooth connections not only with communes in the district but also throughout the province. In addition, the main roads of the commune, inter-village, and inter-group have been asphalted, concreted, and hardened, reaching more than 85%. In 2025, the commune will be invested in to reach the NTM target, so it will continue to build and complete.

Modern school

From many resources, school facilities in Binh Phuoc province, especially in remote areas, have been invested in to be spacious and modern in the direction of meeting standards. By mid-March 2025, the whole province had 250/390 schools meeting national standards, accounting for 64.1% and striving to reach over 70% by the end of 2025.

Teachers and students of Vo Thi Sau Primary School, Bu Dang District are taught and studied in a spacious, modern school with full facilities and equipment.

Once an area with many difficulties in school facilities, but up to now, schools in Duong 10 commune, Bu Dang district have all been invested in spacious and impressive. Of which, 2 schools were recognized as meeting national standards level 1 in 2023: Vo Thi Sau Primary School and Thanh Binh Kindergarten.

Vo Thi Sau Primary School has not only become a highlight of Bu Dang district but also of the whole Binh Phuoc province. With a capital of 45 billion VND, the school was invested in building on a new land area of 1 hectare with 3 floors, a kitchen, a gate, a fence and many other auxiliary works, creating learning conditions for nearly 700 students, of which 57% are ethnic minority children. The newly completed school has put into use, ending the difficulties in facilities for decades. Working at Vo Thi Sau Primary School for more than 20 years, Ms. Ha Thi Tuyen said: Previously, the old school had inadequate facilities and teaching equipment. Since moving to the new school with full facilities, each room has a TV, projector, electric fan, and student desks and chairs. Since then, students and parents have been excited, and teachers have more motivation in their profession. This is the condition and premise for the good implementation of the 2018 General Education Program, gradually improving the overall quality of education at the school.

Following Vo Thi Sau Primary School, Dak Nhau Primary School, Bu Dang district is also being invested in a new construction on an area of 1.2 hectares in the center of the commune, with a cost of 50 billion VND with 3 rows of floors and other auxiliary items. The project started construction in June 2024 and is expected to be completed and put into use from the beginning of the next school year. This is also the largest and most modern primary school project to date in the province and when put into use, it will solve the problem of lack of facilities at this remote school. Principal of Dak Nhau Primary School Tran Van Cuong shared: The school has a large number of students with 25 classes, but in recent years there have only been 15 classrooms, lacking 10 classrooms and having to borrow from other schools, causing difficulties and inadequacies for teaching and learning. The school is being invested in new construction, so when completed and put into use, it will meet teaching needs, improve quality, and well implement the 2018 General Education Program.

Narrowing the gap between regions

In 2024, Loc Thai, Loc Ninh district is one of the first two communes selected by the Provincial People's Committee to build a model new rural area. Chairman of Loc Thai Commune People's Committee Phan Thanh Quang shared: From the results of building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas, when being selected to build a model new rural area, it received great consensus from the people. Because thanks to the results of building new rural areas, the gap between rural areas, remote areas and urban areas has been shortened, there is no longer a big difference like before. Currently, the intellectual level of the people has been raised, people are willing to donate land, property, working days with the local government to invest in building many items and works. Thanks to that, the facilities and technical infrastructure have been upgraded synchronously, built in the direction of solidification. In particular, thanks to the promotion of propaganda and guidance on digital technology, electronic transactions, and transactions on the network environment, digital transformation has entered the lives of officials and people, shortening the time and space for administrative transactions for people.

After 15 years of implementing the national target program on building new rural areas, up to now, except for the two communes of Dong Nai and Nghia Binh of Bu Dang district, which were excluded from the target due to bauxite mineral planning, 84/86 communes of Binh Phuoc have been and are being invested in construction. In addition to the communes that are completing documents, procedures or completing outstanding criteria in building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas, in 2025, Binh Phuoc strives to bring the last commune, Bu Gia Map, to the new rural area finish line. Along with that, in 2025, it strives to have 9 more communes meeting advanced new rural standards and 7 communes meeting model new rural standards.

In 2025, Binh Phuoc is making efforts to focus on solving 3 major issues to create a breakthrough in the new rural construction program. These are reducing the gap in new rural construction results between localities; promoting the development of linked production according to the value chain; building synchronous and gradually modern rural socio-economic infrastructure, ensuring a bright, green, clean, beautiful, safe rural environment and landscape, rich in traditional cultural identity, adapting to climate change and developing sustainably.

Binh Phuoc province currently has 79/86 communes recognized as meeting NTM standards and 26 communes as meeting advanced NTM standards. In the photo: Leaders of Duc Lieu commune, Bu Dang district receive the decision to recognize them as meeting advanced NTM standards in 2022.
