Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to urgently review and advise the Provincial People's Committee on documents to continue directing and assigning tasks to relevant agencies and localities to strengthen the implementation of measures to prevent and combat heat waves, drought, water shortages and saltwater intrusion according to the direction of the Prime Minister.

It is known that in Binh Thuan, due to the impact of prolonged hot weather and drought, up to now, the whole province has 41 communes, wards and towns in Bac Binh, Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Tan, Tanh Linh, Duc Linh districts and Phan Thiet city with localized shortage of domestic water, affecting the daily life of 26,872 households/75,918 people.
