A bank that fluctuates interest rates

According to Lao Dong, on August 10, after a week of many banks increasing savings interest rates, Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) suddenly reduced interest rates by 0.25 percentage points for all terms.

Interest rate for 1-2 month term reduced to 2.95%/year.

Interest rate for 3-5 month term reduced to 3.45%/year.

6-month term interest rate reduced to 4.15%/year.

9-month term interest rate reduced to 4.29%/year.

12-month term interest rate reduced to 5.0%/year.

Interest rate for 15-36 month term has decreased to 5.75%/year. Before the interest rate increase, SeABank paid interest of 6.0%/year for this term.

Series of 11 banks increase interest rates

According to Lao Dong, as of August 10, the market recorded 11 banks increasing interest rates including: Eximbank, ACB, Agribank, Sacombank, Saigonbank, VietBank, TPBank, CBBank, VIB, Dong A Bank, VPBank.

On the contrary, the August interest rate market also recorded a bank reducing interest rates, which is ABBank. ABBank listed a reduction of 0.1-0.3 percentage points for most terms. Today, SeABank also listed a reduction of 0.25 percentage points for interest rates for all terms.
