The exam is designed to assess capacity, with new subjects according to the 2018 General Education Program, and Literature can use materials other than textbooks.

2025 is the first year the exam will be implemented according to the 2018 General Education Program with a new exam method (2+2 subjects).

The exam also innovates its content in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the context of a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration.
