The Wall is not just a rock band, it is also a symbol of spirit, of youth and never-ending desires.

The 30th anniversary of Buc Tuong is an opportunity for everyone to look back on the journey of Vietnam's leading Rock band. Despite many ups and downs, breakups and reunions, Buc Tuong is still a "monument" of Vietnamese Rock, of the spirit of youth and passion for music.

Sharing with reporters of VietnamPlus Electronic Newspaper, artist Tran Tuan Hung (group leader) said that he did not want the program series "We are the Wall - 30 years of The Wall" to become a concert to commemorate singer Tran Lap because he is always in everyone's hearts.

“Mr. Lap will appear in every song, every moment of The Wall and the audience during the show. Music is the key element to connect, lead and create emotions,” shared guitarist Tran Tuan Hung.

On the evening of March 26, the program celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Wall opened in Hanoi. Musician Tran Lap appeared on the screen with the support of technology, and the band members happily chatted to the tunes of the song “Memories.”

The image of the late artist made the fans below the stage chant his name, some in the audience shed tears. After nearly a decade of “farewell to this world,” he is still here, in the love of fans and band members.

“Rock fans are always waiting for The Wall to return, not just in one or two live shows but with every music product and every activity we announce. In the messages and comments sent back, I feel the excitement and anticipation of many generations, from 7X, 8X to young people of generation 9X, Gen Z. I feel as nervous as the first days I went on stage with my brothers in the band,” artist Tuan Hung confided.

Talking about the audience of The Wall in recent years, artist Tuan Hung said that the number of young audiences (9X, Gen Z) accounts for 70-80%, not the 7X-8X generation anymore.

“I noticed that even though they are young people, they still sing both the old songs of The Wall and the newly released songs. It proves that the band is on the right track and has influence, not just limited to the 7X, 8X audience like before,” said artist Tuan Hung.

Sharing about the 30-year journey of The Wall, journalist Lai Van Sam affirmed that the success of the SV96 TV show and the following years had the strong contribution of the band.

“The Wall said that I was the one who helped you guys step into the light. However, that was not true. Without me, the band would still step into the light normally. It was just that at that time, we met and had a predestined relationship, creating the 'sweet fruits' that followed.”

He also believes that the highlight of Buc Tuong's music is its intelligence, each of their songs has ideas and messages. Many generations who have loved and followed Buc Tuong over the past three decades show that it is not only the influence of their predecessors, but they are attracted by what this band brings.

After the success of the music night in Hanoi, Buc Tuong will continue to bring the program "We are the Wall" to Ho Chi Minh City on March 29 at Cine Saigon, 148 Cong Quynh, District 1./.
