2024 Action Plan of the North Central and Central Coastal Coordination Council

(MPI) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Chairman of the Coordination Council for the North Central and Central Coast regions, has just signed Decision No. 91/QD-HDDPBTBDHTB promulgating the 2024 Operation Plan of this Council, in which, the Ministry of Planning and Investment is assigned to preside over the implementation of perfecting the coordination organization in the sub-regions: studying the establishment of 03 joint coordination teams including Council members by locality in 03 sub-regions: North Central (including 05 provinces: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri), Central Central (including 05 provinces and cities: Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh) and South Central (including 04 provinces: Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan).

The key tasks of the Council in 2024 are to summarize the activities in 2024, develop the 2025 action plan of the North Central and Central Coastal Coordination Council (BTBDHTB); report on the review of current mechanisms and policies and propose specific regional policies and mechanisms for the BTBDHTB region; organize a regional conference on tourism connectivity including: regional tourism planning; evaluate and share experiences in organizing events, tourism products, and building regional linkage mechanisms for tourism.

The Council also assigned specific tasks to ministries and branches, in which the Ministry of Industry and Trade presided over the Project on developing logistics centers associated with seaports, airports and border gates based on modern technology and digital technology, and submitted it to the Prime Minister for approval according to regulations.

The Ministry of Transport presides over plans and projects to link regional transport infrastructure systems to ensure synchronization, modernity, and convenient connections within the Central Highlands and inter-regional areas.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shall preside over the review of current mechanisms and policies in the agricultural and rural areas, ensuring that they are consistent with the guidelines, orientations and tasks of the Resolutions for integration and implementation (including the Regional Coordination Mechanism for the Central Highlands and the Central Highlands to respond to natural disasters and propose regional connectivity projects); complete the Project "Restructuring agriculture in the Central Highlands and the Central Highlands towards developing a highly efficient, ecological and sustainable agricultural economy based on the application of safe production processes; sustainable use of resources and environmental protection".

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over the organization of the announcement of the planning and development of the Plan for implementing the Planning of the cultural and sports facilities network for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2045, and the Planning of the tourism system for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2045; the mechanism for coordinating and linking cultural, sports and tourism development activities across countries; regions and provinces; and proposing regional connection projects./.
