(HGO) – On the afternoon of October 1, the Central Organizing Committee held an online conference to provide comments on the draft Project to amend and supplement Regulation No. 212 of the Secretariat on the functions, tasks, organizational structure, and staffing of specialized agencies of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations at the provincial and district levels. Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, chaired the conference.

Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, spoke at the conference.

Attending the conference at the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee bridge were Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhon, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee.

According to the Central Organizing Committee, after 5 years of implementing Regulation No. 212, many results have been achieved, but some difficulties and limitations have also arisen. Therefore, it is necessary to amend and supplement with the principle of complying with the Party Charter, regulations on implementing the Party Charter, closely following the resolutions and documents of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the functions, tasks, powers, organization and staffing of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations. At the same time, fully inherit the relevant contents, only supplement some specific contents that are clear, have sufficient theoretical basis, and are proven correct in practice, and have high consensus and unity. Issues that still have many different opinions or are unclear should be studied.

With that meaning, delegates attending the conference contributed many opinions to the draft Project to amend and supplement Regulation No. 212 of the Secretariat.

Commenting at the conference, Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, said that the Central Organizing Committee had carefully and thoroughly prepared the content of the draft report on the implementation of Regulation No. 212. Regarding the draft Project to amend and supplement Regulation No. 212, the proposals and recommendations of the locality were accepted.

Contributing specifically to the draft project, Mr. Tran Van Huyen discussed, in the content: "The advisory and support department of the specialized agency of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations at the provincial level is established on the basis of: the functions and tasks of the agency; the total staff assigned by the competent authority; a minimum of 4 people to establish a subordinate unit (generally called a committee). In case the staff of the specialized department is not enough to establish a committee, consider merging into a committee with similar tasks", Hau Giang province proposed to add the content: "regarding the number of committees after the arrangement and merger, it must be no less than 2 committees"...

The conference was held online.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, thanked, acknowledged and highly appreciated the responsible opinions of the localities, the opinions stemming from the practical implementation of Regulation No. 212. The opinions expressed at the conference will be absorbed and supplemented to complete the draft to submit to the Secretariat.
