On the afternoon of April 9, the Ministry of Finance held an online conference to implement the conclusions of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity. Implementing the conclusions of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, the Ministry of Finance has recently carried out assigned tasks and issued many documents, including developing a report outline and a plan to handle public assets when reorganizing administrative units. Based on the opinions of delegates at this conference, the Ministry of Finance will continue to complete the plan to submit to higher authorities for approval.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing the organization of the apparatus before and after the rearrangement, reporting on the current status and needs for headquarters after the rearrangement; reviewing and developing plans for the arrangement, placement, and handling of houses and land; proposing plans to handle projects, works, and headquarters that are being implemented or have had investment policies approved that are affected by the rearrangement and streamlining of the apparatus and administrative units.
In his concluding remarks, the Deputy Minister of Finance emphasized: The principle of developing a plan for the arrangement, reorganization and handling of public assets must be carried out simultaneously with the process of developing a project to reorganize administrative units at all levels. The arrangement, reorganization and handling of assets must be appropriate to the using unit, the characteristics and nature of the assets, making the most of the resources of existing assets but must have a long-term vision to serve long-term goals. He requested ministries, branches and localities to continue to speed up the progress of the general inventory of public assets at agencies, units, and infrastructure assets invested by the State; review redundant or reduced-use offices, determine the need to use offices according to the new organizational structure, and be careful and thorough in the process of reviewing. He also accepted all opinions of the delegates to complete the project in the coming time.
