The temple of Lord Tien Nguyen Hoang was built in An Nha village, Gio An commune, where a temple to worship this lord existed more than 400 years ago.

The project will be built in traditional architectural style, 3 main rooms and 2 side rooms. The cost of building this temple is about 2 billion VND, from socialized sources; the project is expected to be completed in August 2025.

The event shows the deep gratitude of the people of Gio An commune to the lord who contributed to expanding the territory.

At the ceremony, many elders in An Nha village were present and witnessed the ceremony of laying the first stones to build the temple.

It is expected that after completing the project, the locality will continue to call for support to cast a bronze statue of Lord Nguyen Hoang to place at the temple to create a solemn worship space.

Mr. Nguyen Van Song, Chairman of Gio An Commune People's Committee, said: The idea of rebuilding the temple of Lord Nguyen Hoang has been cherished by local people for a long time; but it will not be until 2023 that the work will be implemented.

Many people in An Nha village also expressed their excitement and joy when the project was launched. The construction of the temple is an act of profound cultural and humanistic significance, contributing to traditional education and arousing national pride in the community.

It is known that the newly built temple is located next to the vestiges of the temple of Lord Nguyen Hoang that was built more than 400 years ago.

During the reign of Minh Mang of the Nguyen Dynasty, the temple of Lord Nguyen Hoang here was renamed Long Phuoc Pagoda. Over time and historical changes, the pagoda has now been ruined, with only the stone foundation remaining. In 1996, Long Phuoc Pagoda was ranked as a provincial relic by Quang Tri Province.
