On the morning of August 9, one day after returning from France, shooter Kim Ye-ji held a press conference at the Jeonbuk shooting range in Imsil, Jeolla Province. Kim Ye-ji was accompanied by the coach of the Korean shooting team, Kwak Min-so. After greeting reporters and answering some questions, Kim Ye-ji suddenly had continuous convulsions and then collapsed. Everyone who witnessed the incident was shocked and quickly called for help. About 10 minutes after receiving first aid, Kim Ye-ji was fortunately awake and able to talk.

Coach Kwak Min-so shared that Kim Ye-ji has no history of chronic illness. During the nearly 10 years of working together, he has never seen Kim Ye-ji encounter such a condition.

According to the initial assessment of medical staff, Kim Ye-ji's convulsions and collapse may have come from her severe fatigue after participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Kim Ye-ji participated in two events: the women's 10m air pistol and the women's 25m sport pistol. Notably, both events had the participation of Vietnamese athlete Trinh Thu Vinh. Kim Ye-ji entered the final of the 10m air pistol and finished the competition with 241.3 points, winning the silver medal. Kim Ye-ji was only 1.9 points behind her teammate Oh Ye-jin. Next, Kim Ye-ji participated in the 25m pistol - an event in which she is the reigning world champion. However, Kim Ye-ji surprisingly failed to pass the qualifying round.

Not only is she one of the talented Korean shooters, Kim Ye-ji also captivates the audience watching the 2024 Paris Olympics with her cool demeanor. Kim Ye-ji always competes in a unique style: wearing a black Fila windbreaker with a zipper at the neck, carrying a small stuffed animal with an elephant hanging on her belt, always putting her left hand in her pocket, wearing many earrings. In addition, when completing her shot and winning the silver medal, Kim Ye-ji still appeared calm.
