This is an important factor promoting the increase of technology content in the value of products, promoting the development of supporting industries. Up to now, Bac Ninh has granted investment registration to 2,475 valid FDI projects from 42 countries and territories and 1,656 domestic investment projects, the main factor contributing to the process of economic restructuring towards modern industry, high technology, contributing to promoting the expansion of economic relations with countries in the region and the world, bringing the province's economy to increasingly deep and wide integration into the world economy.
With 21 concentrated industrial parks (16 zones approved by the Prime Minister for development planning until 2020; 5 new zones integrated into the Bac Ninh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050), Bac Ninh is becoming a key industrial capital in the North, with a huge potential for industrial development. Bac Ninh is the first province in the country to support more than 1,000 billion VND in training quality human resources for the semiconductor industry; is forming science and technology research centers; attracting many prestigious universities... Therefore, domestic enterprises investing in the province need to create breakthroughs in production technology, especially digital transformation, to participate more deeply in the global supply chain. At the same time, enterprises have proposals and contributions to building policies and support mechanisms to promote private economic development, creating momentum for domestic enterprises in the new situation.
In order for domestic enterprises to develop, many opinions expect the province to create forums and establish associations connecting domestic enterprises and foreign enterprises. At the same time, concretize and effectively implement preferential policies, encourage enterprises, especially small and medium enterprises, cooperatives, and business households to invest in digital transformation, research, application of science, and technological innovation to improve production and business efficiency and corporate governance. Develop solutions to promote knowledge transfer, training of human resources in science, technology, and innovation through foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises in the province; deploy the application of a set of criteria to assess the level of digital transformation of enterprises and support programs, promote enterprises, especially small and medium enterprises, cooperatives, and business households to digitally transform.
Bac Ninh is strongly committed to accompanying investors in the development process of the province as well as enterprises. However, foreign and domestic investors, infrastructure investment enterprises, high-tech industries, and supporting industries combine more smoothly and effectively to create value chains, production chains, and supply chains between FDI investors and domestic enterprises; FDI enterprises create greater spillover effects on technology, skills of managers and workers, and supply chains to domestic manufacturers in Vietnam. In particular, domestic enterprises need to continue to improve their technology, management, and product quality to meet the supply standards for FDI investors, gradually participating in the global supply chain.
