On February 4, the Center for Culture, Sports and Tourism (Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province) coordinated with the city's Department of Culture and Information to organize the Opening ceremony of gong performances and performances to welcome the New Year of the Dragon 2024 at 10/3 Square.
Attending the program, visitors and people enjoyed performances of gongs, dances, and Ede folk songs with the theme "Welcome Spring" by artisans and young people from Ea Tu commune and Ea Tam ward (Buon Ma Thuot city).

The program is organized according to Plan No. 26/KH-UBND dated January 29, 2024 of Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee on organizing gong cultural performances to serve people and tourists in the area in 2024.
The program is expected to be held twice a month until the end of July 2024.

Accordingly, art troupes and artisans in the province can participate in performing gong songs of ethnic groups using bronze gongs and bamboo gongs; performing ethnic musical instruments related to gongs, in which the accompaniment must use gongs or musical instruments made of bamboo and rattan.
The program aims to create conditions for villages, hamlets, and residential groups in Buon Ma Thuot city and gong teams and gong culture enthusiasts in neighboring districts and towns to meet, exchange, and learn experiences in building mass cultural and artistic movements and preserving folk culture at the grassroots level.

Through the program, it also contributes to mobilizing people to actively participate in implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", building and developing a rich, beautiful, civilized and modern Buon Ma Thuot city.
Also on February 4, Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association held the opening ceremony of the Artistic Photography and Calligraphy Exhibition to welcome the Spring of Giap Thin 2024.
The exhibition introduces 80 photos by authors inside and outside the province, with the content introducing the natural beauty, country, and people of Dak Lak province; reflecting advanced models, shining examples in studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh; the beauty in the cultural and spiritual life of 49 ethnic groups; the development of Buon Ma Thuot city and Dak Lak province in various fields...
Gong performances and performances are expected to be held once or twice a month until the end of July 2024.
At the same time, the program also exhibits calligraphy works by members of the Vietnamese Calligraphy Club (belonging to the Dak Lak Provincial Cultural Center).
These activities will take place until February 7, contributing to spreading the beauty of traditional culture and the Vietnamese calligraphy movement to people and tourists. In addition, promoting the culture, natural beauty, land and people of Dak Lak through artistic photography works; creating a joyful and excited spirit to welcome the Spring of Giap Thin 2024...
