Cau River – with a length of nearly 300km flowing through 6 provinces and cities (Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hanoi and Hai Duong) – is a place that preserves many cultural values, landscapes and rich life of ethnic communities. From traditional craft villages, folk festivals, historical relics to the simple beauty of daily life and production… all are valuable sources of material for photographers to create emotional works of art.

According to the rules, all Vietnamese citizens aged 15 and over, the works submitted to the contest must honestly reflect the beauty of nature, people, culture, tourism activities in the 6 provinces of the Cau River basin. The work can be a single photo, a series of photos or a photo report; has not participated in any other contest; ensures authenticity, no editing that distorts the content and meaning. Each work must have a name, a brief introduction and full information of the author.

The works that pass the preliminary round will be posted on the Fanpage of Bac Kan Newspaper for the online community to admire and vote. Interaction (like, share) is one of the scoring criteria. The submission period lasts until April 21, 2025, and the results are expected to be announced at the Night of Performance of Typical Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of the Cau River Basin - an event taking place on the evening of April 26, promising many memorable impressions.

With a total prize value of nearly 25 million VND and easy participation, the contest not only attracts professionals but also opens up to young people who are passionate about photography and exploring their homeland. In addition, the contest is also an activity that contributes to promoting the tourism potential of localities in the Cau River basin, connecting regional cultural heritage and inspiring sustainable nature conservation.

The contest “Beautiful photos of tourism in the Cau River basin” is one of the meaningful cultural and artistic activities of the Bac Kan Culture and Tourism Week 2025.
