The 3D Mapping film program with the theme "Da Nang Story" shows folk tales, legends and some typical historical events associated with the birth, development and rise to new heights of the city while depicting the soul and spirit of Da Nang people.

This is the first complete outdoor 3D Mapping film in Vietnam, different from 3D Mapping scenes in other programs and events. This is also the first time in Southeast Asia that the most advanced PT-RQ 50K projection system, equivalent to the projection system at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic opening ceremony and the Tokyo Night & Light program in 2024, has been put into use.

“The Story of Da Nang” consists of 3 consecutive parts, introducing the history of the formation and development of Da Nang city throughout historical periods. In which, part 1 “The Origin of Da Nang” recreates the process of forming the land, residents and historical developments from prehistoric, early historical to ancient and medieval periods, associated with ancient kingdoms, especially the cultural imprints of Sa Huynh, Champa, Dai Viet.

Part 2 "The Epic of Struggle" recreates the long struggle of the army and people of Da Nang against Western colonialism led by France (1858 - 1954) and the resistance war against the US to save the country (1954 - 1975); at the same time, it recreates the process of formation and development of Da Nang city.

Part 3 "Rising" recreates the construction and development of Da Nang city after the liberation day of March 29, 1975, the marks and achievements when it became a centrally-governed city in 1997 and especially, the period when the city transformed itself in the era of integration and development, becoming one of the leading economic, cultural and social centers of the country and the region.

The program will be shown twice every night from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. from April 29 to May 1, 2025 at the front of the Da Nang Museum (42 Bach Dang).

In the coming time, the Department of Culture and Sports as well as the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism after the merger hope that at the Da Nang Museum - a project considered a new symbol of the city's culture, 3D Mapping films will continue to be shown; thereby promoting the development of culture and cinema, bringing attractive spiritual food as well as promoting the image of Da Nang city to domestic and international tourists and friends; contributing to the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation in the new era - the era of national development.
