In an area just over ten meters from the Na Vai village meeting house, reporters recorded a dirt road that had just been opened by an excavator to allow trucks to transport stones. According to local residents, this road had just been opened to mine white stones. Local residents suspect that these are valuable local mineral resources that have been illegally mined.
Following this road, we saw a large truck there, many white stones still mixed with red soil were gathered into piles at some points along the route. Large stones measuring up to nearly 1m3 , small stones from about 10cm and up were dug up in this area to be brought up for collection.
The end of the road is like a construction site, this area is near the rice and corn fields of the people. The scene has been dug up, impacted by excavators to find rocks and gather them into large piles at this location. Here, there are also electric lines pulled into the place to light up to watch over the rocks and serve as lighting for stone mining at night.
At a nearby household, we noted that some fruit trees that were growing well were cut down to prepare for excavators to dig foundations for livestock barns. According to the residents, there was an agreement for the people to let the diggers take white stones and in return, the villagers would complete the ground so that the family could build foundations for their barns or houses. On the land of this household, right next to the plum trees that have been planted for many years, the trees are taller than a person, below the roots are many large white stone blocks, some of the stones protrude from the ground with quite beautiful shapes.
Speaking to reporters, the leader of Bang Thanh Commune People's Committee said: The locality has grasped the incident, but because people informed that they only asked some people with excavators to build roads to exploit planted forest wood and support households in the village to dig house foundations and livestock barn foundations, the locality did not pay attention.
Bac Kan Newspaper will continue to inform readers when there are results of resolving the above incident./.
