Social Insurance Region XVII was merged from the Social Insurance of Yen Bai and Lao Cai provinces, and is one of the units that meets the requirements in terms of facilities, human resources, and organizational structure to operate from April 1, 2025. This is an important milestone, demonstrating the high political determination of the Vietnam Social Insurance Industry in implementing Resolution No. 18 of the Central Executive Committee on streamlining the organizational structure, operating effectively and efficiently.

The merger of two units with large areas and large workloads, however, Social Insurance Region XVII deeply understands that the reorganization and merger of two provincial Social Insurance units into one regional unit is a correct policy, demonstrating the strategic vision of the Party, the State and the determination of the industry. The staff has a united relationship; in terms of implementing political tasks in social insurance and health insurance, there are similarities in revenue and expenditure and regional population characteristics.

This is a favorable foundation for forming a united bloc, contributing significantly to the sustainable development of Social Insurance Region XVII in the coming time. In particular, during the transition period, Social Insurance Region XVII always receives attention and direction from Vietnam Social Insurance, the Organization and Personnel Board, leaders of Party committees and local authorities, and the companionship and sharing of all cadres and civil servants, and the exemplary role of Party members in arranging a streamlined and effective organizational apparatus.

Deputy Director of Vietnam Social Security presented decisions and flowers to 5 Deputy Directors of Social Security Region XVII.

At the Conference, Vietnam Social Security announced the appointment decisions of the Director of Vietnam Social Security for 5 deputy directors of Social Security Region XVII; heads and deputy heads of professional departments, directors and deputy directors of inter-district Social Security under Social Security Region XVII from April 1, 2025.

Previously, the Director of Vietnam Social Security signed a decision to appoint Mr. Pham Cong Cuong - Director of Yen Bai Provincial Social Security to hold the position of Director of Social Security Region XVII.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Dao Viet Anh - Deputy Director of Vietnam Social Security congratulated and assigned tasks to the management officials who received new assignments; with the new position, he will continue to make efforts with the collective leadership and all officials and employees of the unit to successfully complete all assigned tasks, build a strong and united collective of Social Security in Region XVII, bring the career of Social Security, Health Insurance, and Unemployment Insurance to a new level of development, contributing to the entire industry to successfully complete assigned tasks.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Pham Cong Cuong - the new Director of Social Insurance Region XVII, on behalf of the comrades who were transferred and appointed, promised to absolutely comply with the organization's assignment; maintain political qualities and public ethics, constantly train and improve professional capacity; promote the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and party members; build a collective of solidarity, unity, democracy and discipline; strive to build a regional social insurance model that operates stably, modernly, professionally, effectively and sustainably.

At the same time, we hope to continue to receive the attention, leadership and regular direction of Vietnam Social Security, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Yen Bai and Lao Cai provinces; the coordination and support of departments, branches and localities; especially the consensus, solidarity and continuous efforts of all cadres, civil servants and workers in the region. We believe that, with tradition, courage and spirit of innovation, Social Security Region XVII will successfully complete all assigned political tasks, making positive contributions to the cause of social security in the area.
