Comrade Vu Thi Hien Hanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Committee for the Advancement of Women attended and directed the Conference.

After 9 years of implementing Decision 938 dated June 30, 2017 of the Prime Minister and Plan 191 dated October 30, 2017 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing Project 938 "Propaganda, education, mobilization, and support for women to participate in solving a number of social issues related to women" in the period of 2017 - 2027; Decision 939 dated June 30, 2017 of the Prime Minister and Plan 192 dated October 30, 2017 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing Project 939 "Supporting women to start businesses in the period of 2017 - 2025" in Yen Bai province, many important results have been achieved.

Notably, in the implementation of Project 938, the Women's Union at all levels organized over 50 events and communication sessions integrating population work, health care, prevention of child marriage, consanguineous marriage, prevention of human trafficking and social issues related to women and children; established and maintained 370 self-governing groups, 186 rapid response groups, 531 trusted addresses in the community, 80 "Leaders of Change" clubs with over 1,700 members, 814 "Happy Family" clubs; over 90 "Happy Women's Associations" in the community. Of which, over 300 citizens were received and provided legal advice through both direct and indirect means, and psychological counseling for 220 women and children who were victims of domestic violence and victims of human trafficking.

Implementing Project 939, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has promoted the establishment of 32 new enterprises, 55 cooperatives, 1,027 cooperative groups led by women and over 7,600 models of women doing good business. Of which, over 2,000 economic models have an income of over 300 million VND/year, hundreds of models have an income of 1 billion VND/year or more; organized over 30 training courses for over 1,500 women who are managers, members of enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups and women with ideas to start a business. The Union at all levels has supported 2,230 women to start a business; organized Women's Creative Start-up Day, connected trade, promoted trade, displayed 115 booths introducing products of cooperative groups, cooperatives, women's enterprises in the province...

The effective implementation of the support programs of the 2 Projects has contributed to supporting women in their comprehensive development, building happy families, ensuring social security, improving living conditions for women members, together cultivating family happiness, creating solidarity and mutual love in the community and well implementing the goals of socio-economic development, national defense and security of the locality.

In recent years, the Campaign "Building a family of 5 no's and 3 clean's" has contributed to the construction of new rural areas and has been widely spread. Many models and creative approaches of the Women's Union at all levels have contributed significantly to the construction of new rural areas in the province.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh requested that in the coming time, Women's Unions at all levels continue to have solutions to bring women's movements and support women to develop comprehensively in all fields.

Speaking at the Conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Provincial Women's Union at all levels in the past time. At the same time, she requested that the Unions at all levels in the coming time continue to have solutions to promote women's movements and support women to develop comprehensively in all economic, political, cultural and social fields; each woman needs to innovate, strive to rise up, and make the most of opportunities in the new era to affirm her role in the family and society.

On this occasion, the Provincial Women's Union awarded certificates of merit to 7 groups and 40 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Project 939 and 45 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Project 938. The Provincial Women's Union also commended 9 chapters and 45 exemplary families in implementing the Campaign "Building a family of 5 no's and 3 clean's".
