Hue Lottery Company Limited has just completed the procedures to pay a prize of 2 billion VND to Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet (from Quang Nam, owner of the special prize winning lottery ticket that was torn in Hue).

According to Mr. Le Trung Phuoc - Director of Hue Lottery Company Limited, after the verdict came into effect, the company invited Ms. Nguyet to the headquarters to pay the prize. After completing the necessary procedures, the company took Ms. Nguyet to the bank to transfer the full amount of 1.8 billion VND (after tax) into her account.

Sharing her future plans, Ms. Nguyet said she will renovate her small house and use part of the prize money to help disadvantaged people living in her hometown of Quang Nam.

Ms. Nguyet would like to thank the press and public opinion agencies for always accompanying her on the past journey. According to Ms. Nguyet, litigation is something no one wants, but in the end everything is good and she affirms that she will continue to support and buy Hue's traditional lottery tickets because who knows, opportunities will continue to come.

Ms. Nguyet said that when she won the lawsuit over the torn lottery ticket, many strangers came to her family from nowhere to ask for money. There was a stranger from the Central Highlands who came to her house with a medical record to ask for support, causing a lot of trouble for the family. Ms. Nguyet expressed her hope that her life and her family will soon return to normal after this incident.

Previously, the People's Court of Huong Thuy Town (Hue City) declared Ms. Nguyet the winner of the civil lawsuit over a lottery prize dispute related to a lottery ticket that won the special prize and had a corner torn on March 25.

After the trial ended, Hue Lottery Company Limited said it would not appeal the verdict. After the 30-day period for appeals and protests, the court's verdict officially took effect.
