Like Bac Quynh commune, taking advantage of the advantages, the government and local households have effectively implemented community tourism. Mr. Duong Doan Tuan, Vice Chairman of Bac Quynh Commune People's Committee shared: Bac Quynh commune has beautiful natural landscapes, limestone mountains, many caves and flat fields... In particular, the commune preserves cultural features imbued with the traditional identity of the Tay ethnic group with many unique festivals... The above factors are favorable conditions for developing community tourism. On average, Bac Quynh commune welcomes about 30,000 visitors each year; in the first 9 months of 2024, the commune welcomed nearly 50,000 visitors to visit and experience.

In addition to Bac Quynh commune, Bac Son district currently has community tourism spots in Vu Lang commune and Chien Thang commune.

Along with developing community tourism, ecotourism and experiential tourism associated with agricultural production activities have also been focused on by Bac Son district. Accordingly, a number of agricultural development projects combined with tourism invested in the district have created attractive tourist destinations such as: passion fruit garden (Mo Hao); rice fields in Bac Quynh commune; tours to explore and visit tangerine gardens in the area; tours and experiences at vineyards in Long Dong and Chien Thang communes... attracting a large number of domestic and foreign visitors. In addition to 3 community tourism destinations, the district currently has 3 ecotourism destinations and 4 historical and cultural tourism destinations. These destinations have been and are attracting tourists.

Ms. Do Thanh Loan, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Bac Son district said: Based on natural, historical, cultural values..., Bac Son district has been implementing synchronous solutions to exploit tourism resources and potentials, advantages to build unique tourism products contributing to promoting the tourism industry.

With these methods, the total number of tourists to Bac Son district from 2016 to 2023 was 663,146, exceeding the target of Resolution No. 03-NQ/HU dated December 18, 2015 of the Standing Committee of Bac Son District Party Committee on tourism development in the period of 2016-2020, with a vision to 2025 (exceeding 165% of the target set by Resolution 03); annual tourism revenue reached an average of 100 billion VND.

Make tourism a spearhead economic sector

The goal of Bac Son district is to strive to make tourism a key economic sector by 2030. Currently, the district People's Committee is directing communes and related units in the area to continue developing tourism products, especially products imbued with the cultural identity of local ethnic groups.

Harvesting rice with rudimentary tools right on the fields of Bac Quynh commune during the 2024 Bac Son Golden Season festival attracts a large number of tourists to visit and experience.

In particular, the district focuses on building outstanding tourism products such as: historical and cultural tourism (festivals, historical relics, etc.), community tourism, discovery tourism (exploring natural landscapes, caves, experiencing people's lives), eco-tourism, agricultural tourism (rafting, fishing, experiencing a day as a farmer, etc.); continuing to preserve, promote, and organize unique traditional festivals of the district, etc. to attract tourists.

At the same time, Bac Son district continues to promote the innovation of the tourism industry structure, strengthen links with localities in the region to develop tourism. This is demonstrated by the fact that Bac Son district People's Committee is continuing to organize seminars, fam-trips... to connect Bac Son district tourism with other localities. In particular, in addition to the established tourist routes such as: Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Bac Son; Bac Son - Binh Gia - Lang Son city; Bac Son - Huu Lien... Currently, the district is linking with localities in the Central region to form longer tourist routes.

Along with that, Bac Son district has been prioritizing the development of infrastructure serving tourism. Accordingly, with a total budget of about 870 billion VND, from now until 2030, Bac Son district will focus on investing in infrastructure serving tourism. In particular, in addition to investing in promoting and developing the tourism brand of Bac Son district; investing in building an exhibition area and introducing and promoting OCOP products and typical local products..., the District People's Committee will focus on investing in: Bac Son town's entertainment complex; Hoa stream eco-tourism area; Vu Lang lake resort; Mo Nhai eco-tourism resort; Na Lay mountain resort; Tan Huong commune resort; Tran Yen flower valley amusement area; primeval nghien forest eco-tourism area in Bac Quynh commune...

In addition, the District People's Committee also continues to promote and call for businesses to invest in tourism projects in the district, while calling for socialized capital for tourism development activities, especially community, agricultural and ecological tourism.

Tourists come to Bac Son to participate in experiential activities such as SUP rowing to visit natural landscapes.

Ms. Duong Thi Thep, Vice Chairwoman of the District People's Committee, said: To attract investment in tourism development, Bac Son district is continuing to improve policies and mechanisms and create favorable conditions to attract investors to build tourism products and services. At the same time, the District People's Committee is advising on the drafting of a Resolution of the District Party Committee on tourism development in Bac Son district for the period 2024 - 2030, with a vision to 2045; implementing the development of a Project on tourism development in Bac Son district to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

With the tourism development solutions that have been, are being and will be implemented, Bac Son district is striving to make tourism a spearhead economic sector. In particular, with the focus on developing green tourism, Bac Son district is gradually becoming one of the key tourism destinations of Lang Son province, in line with the planning and tourism development strategy of the province in the coming years.
