The Ministry of Transport has just sent a request to investors regarding the fact that the two expressways Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet and Dau Giay - Phan Thiet have been put into operation on the main route but some items have not been completed, causing difficulties for people along the route.

The two investors (Project Management Board 7 and Thang Long Project Management Board) need to urge contractors to speed up the construction of overpasses, intersections, residential roads, underpasses, drainage ditches... on the route. These items must be completed before June 30.

In addition, the investor coordinates with relevant units to review and adjust the safety items of the highway. Before June 15, the parties need to install additional signs, speed bumps, traffic lights... to ensure safety and limit congestion; supplement drainage systems, access roads, and reinforce slopes.

Contractors and supervision consultants must comply with traffic organization plans and arrange traffic control forces when constructing the above items.

Previously, since the end of April, two expressway sections, Dau Giay - Phan Thiet (99 km) and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet (101 km), were opened to traffic. This allows cars from Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces to travel straight to Binh Thuan via expressway without having to go through National Highway 1.
