In the period of 2018-2023, under the direct leadership and direction of the Party Committee Standing Committee, the Board of Directors of the academy, the guidance of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and the National Defense Trade Union Committee, the workers' movement and trade union activities at the academy have had positive changes, achieving many important and comprehensive results.

The propaganda and education work for union members has been innovated in content and form, contributing significantly to building cadres, union members and workers with a strong political stance, absolute trust in the Party's leadership, attachment to the unit, accepting and completing all assigned tasks. The emulation movements organized by the union have closely followed the practical situation and political tasks of the unit, linked with the Emulation Movement for Victory of each agency, unit and academy. Currently, the Military Technical Academy has 26 grassroots union organizations with 696 union members. 100% of union members are trained through schools inside and outside the Army.

In the past 5 years, the academy's trade union organization has had 339 union members and union members achieve the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level; 670 achieve the title of Advanced Fighter; 1 comrade was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister; 1 comrade was granted a Patent; 9 union members were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Head of the Ministry of National Defense; 43 union members and union members were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army for their union work...

With the slogan of action: Cadres and union members of the Military Technical Academy “Solidarity, creativity, democracy, innovation, development”, the 4th Congress of Delegates of the Military Technical Academy’s Union identified breakthroughs: Focusing on training, improving qualifications, skills, methods, working style, sense of responsibility for cadres and union members; innovating content, form, improving the effectiveness of union activities; promoting scientific research activities, topics, and technical innovation initiatives among union members.
