According to DDNews, India and Nepal held their annual three-day bilateral coordination talks from November 6 to 8 in New Delhi, chaired by Director General of the Indian Border Guard Force (SSB) Rashmi Shukla and Inspector General of the Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) Raju Aryal.

The Indian side stated that the objective of the talks was to enhance coordination between the two border guarding forces for more effective management of the open and unfenced India-Nepal border. The focus of the talks was to develop effective mechanisms for cooperation in combating cross-border crimes and facilitate rapid exchange of vital information between the forces. Annual talks on joint border guarding have been held alternately in India and Nepal since 2012.
