People's Artist Quoc Hung and People's Artist Ta Minh Tam had an impressive performance on the morning of April 30 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The two artists stood together on a parade float with colorful flags and flowers, singing loudly in the middle of Le Duan Street, performing a mashup of two immortal songs , "The Country Full of Joy" and "The Color of Red Flowers" .

For People's Artist Quoc Hung, that moment was not only the peak of emotions in his artistic career, but also a vivid symbol of the great solidarity song of the Vietnamese people on the national festival day.

“It was a very special feeling, in a very special space and time,” he shared.

People's Artist Quoc Hung shared that singing at the April 30th Ceremony is the "most special" thing in an artist's life.

Combining the two voices of the South and the North, the performance created a strong resonance, not only in terms of music but also in terms of the message of national unity and harmony.

The two voices are two regions of the country converging in a song of peace with songs that are not only rich in artistic material, but also full of historical emotions. The two sing in harmony with each other, when Ta Minh Tam sings high notes, Quoc Hung harmonizes in the low range and vice versa, making the song sound fuller, richer and more impressive.

“To me, music at that time was no longer just individual lyrics, but the common voice of millions of Vietnamese people in the sacred moment of celebrating the day of national reunification,” said Quoc Hung.

For People's Artist Quoc Hung, singing at important national events is always a sacred responsibility, but the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification has a special and profound meaning. Behind the heroic melodies, he also entrusts a part of his personal memories of his father, who was a revolutionary soldier at the Khe Sanh front in Quang Tri, who returned with many wounds and passed away when he was only 13 years old.

“I choose to sing revolutionary songs as a way to express my love for my parents, who have silently sacrificed so that our generation can live in peace today,” People's Artist Quoc Hung shared.

As a familiar singer on major holidays such as April 30, May 19, September 2, etc., People's Artist Quoc Hung considers it a privilege: "Not everyone has the opportunity to stand on stage at the country's main music programs. That requires a seriously trained voice, a strong spirit, and deep patriotism."
