Half a century has passed, but the heroic memories of the historic April days of 1975, culminating in the Ho Chi Minh campaign, are still intact in the minds of the heroic soldiers of Vinh Phuc province who fought bravely until the day of national victory.

50 years after the reunification of the country, veteran, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Colonel Nguyen Vi Hoi in Lien Bao Ward, Vinh Yen City still has intact memories of the heroic fighting days in the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign and the moment of witnessing the joy of the entire nation on April 30, 1975. At that historic moment, veteran Nguyen Vi Hoi was the squad leader of squad 7, Company 9, Battalion 9, Regiment 64, and together with the lightning-fast troops of Division 320, Corps 3, attacked deeply to occupy the Police Palace, contributing to the collapse of the Saigon puppet regime.

Vinh Phuc Provincial Museum in the historic April days after 50 years of national liberation was the meeting place of two comrades and also two Heroes of the People's Armed Forces of Vinh Phuc province in the resistance war against the US to save the country, soldiers Nguyen Van Thoa and Nguyen Quang Loc. In the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign, as A72 shoulder-fired missile gunners, soldiers Nguyen Van Thoa and Nguyen Quang Loc were assigned the task of coordinating with combat units to penetrate deep into enemy-controlled areas, control, attack and destroy enemy aircraft, supporting our tanks and infantry to attack and liberate Saigon. Flexibly applying the knowledge gained from short-term training into practical combat, in the resistance war against the US to save the country and especially the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign, the two Heroes of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Van Thoa and Nguyen Quang Loc destroyed a total of 18 aircraft of the US and puppet regime, contributing greatly to the great victory in the spring of 1975.

The war has long gone, but the memories of a time of fire and flowers are still intact in the minds of the heroes of a heroic nation, including the heroes of the People's Armed Forces of Vinh Phuc province who fought bravely and courageously, contributing their small part to the day of national victory so that the country could bloom with eternal independence.
