Amidst the vibrant colors of flags and jubilant sounds of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975/April 30, 2025), the image of a female Youth Union official with a clear voice, eyes shining with pride, confidently speaking on behalf of the youth of the whole country, left a good impression. Her bright face, confident demeanor, clear content and message of the speech... immediately caused a "fever" in the online community, especially among the young.

Deeply aware of the rare honor and pride in his life, Huynh Manh Phuong not only speaks for the hearts of the youth of the whole country but also affirms the sacred responsibility of his generation in the mission of inheriting and continuing the tradition of their ancestors.

“Our generation grew up in peace, studied in spacious classrooms, and worked with modern technology. These achievements were made possible by the dedication and sacrifice of generations of our ancestors. If we do not cherish history, we will not be able to build the future,” Phuong said.

As a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Executive Committee and Secretary of the School Youth Union, Phuong is always concerned with educating young people about life ideals. According to her, young people today have many opportunities and a desire to rise up and acquire knowledge and master skills, but if somewhere or at some point, young people neglect the training of character and do not focus on educating love for the Fatherland, it will be difficult for them to stand firm and succeed.

During the process of studying and working, Phuong believes that the journey of dedication of young people needs to start from very ordinary things, such as studying hard, going to work on time, completing work well; not being afraid of difficulties, not being afraid of hardship, being ready to take on challenges and difficulties; having the spirit to fight against wrongdoings and negative manifestations... The effectiveness of studying, working, dedicating one's efforts and intelligence to the agency, unit; showing gratitude to the previous generation... are concrete manifestations of patriotism.

According to Phuong, the biggest obstacle for young people is not the circumstances, but self-doubt, hesitation, pessimism... in the initial stages of starting a business. When taking steps, whether fast or slow, the most important thing is will, courage and determination...

Grown from passion and dedication

Huynh Manh Phuong was born in 1988 in Binh Duong . Since her school days, Phuong has been an excellent student at UEL. After graduating from university with a major in Finance and Banking Law with a good degree, Phuong had time to experience working in a business to gain experience. Then, it was her affinity with the educational environment and her passion for the Youth Union that helped her stick with the teaching profession.

In the first “Green Summer” campaign, when she was a freshman, Phuong was trusted to be the Captain of the volunteer team in Long Thoi commune, Nha Be district. This was the key area of ​​the volunteer campaign that year, but the team only had 13 soldiers, most of whom were older, so Phuong felt a lot of pressure. However, with the solidarity and support of the team members, the encouragement of the Command Board and the locality, Phuong’s team successfully completed the mission with many beautiful memories of youth. That Green Summer became the first lesson in life, helping Phuong learn how to put the collective above the “I”, know how to listen, share and overcome pressure in the movements.

From that experience, Phuong entered the Youth Union work with the mindset of someone who understands the value of every small action. A successful program is not only due to a good script, but also because of consensus, a meaningful activity is not about scale but about touching the hearts of union members.

The University of Economics and Law has been established and developed for more than 20 years. Phuong confided that she feels lucky and happy to be a Youth Union officer in an environment with many talented and dedicated people. The school's Youth Union and Association activities always receive the attention of the leaders and the companionship and support of previous generations of Youth Union officers.

The models and activities implemented at the unit are all products of collective intelligence and consensus from all levels of the Youth Union. As Secretary of the school's Youth Union, she always strives to innovate approaches, from organizing creative forums, building student support groups, launching the "green living, beautiful living" model, to creating an inspiring space about national history through technology and new storytelling forms. That is the way for the Youth Union to not only be a "socio-political organization" but become a place where "every young person feels listened to and motivated to develop". And that is also the premise for her to successfully complete her tasks as a young teacher.
