On the afternoon of April 29, 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired and coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and the Provincial Journalists Association to organize the April Press Conference with nearly 30 delegates in attendance.

Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Pham Viet Cong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Huynh Thi Hoai Thu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association Nguyen Huu Phuc co-chaired the Conference.

Opening the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Phi Da, Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee informed about the situation, new policies, and activities of the Provincial People's Committee in the month. The representative of the Provincial Police informed about the security situation, social order, and human rights work in the province. In addition, representatives of the Departments of Home Affairs, Health, Agriculture and Environment informed about the Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene; Action Month for Food Safety in 2025; and the National Target Program on New Rural Development in the province.

Most press agencies highly appreciated the achievements of Dong Thap province in the past month. Reporters of the People's Public Security Newspaper and Tuoi Tre Newspaper discussed and requested specialized agencies to provide more information about the province's outstanding tourist areas and destinations to serve the holiday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 139th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025). At the same time, they gave some comments to create favorable conditions for press agencies to work in some activities of the province in the coming time.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Huynh Thi Hoai Thu informed and answered questions raised by reporters regarding tourism activities of the province; introduced Discovery Tours in border districts with the theme "Colors of the border area". At the same time, she acknowledged the opinions of press agencies, and strengthened better implementation in accompanying and supporting the press in their work to ensure compliance with regulations.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Pham Viet Cong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, directed a number of key contents for the press to focus on promoting in May 2025.

Firstly, to propagate the study, understanding and implementation of the Resolution of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee, thereby helping Party committees, Party organizations, cadres and Party members grasp the core contents, new points and focus of the Resolution of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee, and to study and apply it flexibly and appropriately in the process of performing assigned tasks.

Second, continue to promote the preparation for organizing party congresses at all levels; the determination of the political system in successfully implementing resolutions of party congresses at all levels; the topic of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in 2025; the results of implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

Third, diversify forms of information and propaganda, especially on media platforms of press agencies, about new methods and tricks of using high technology in cyberspace to defraud and appropriate property, contributing to raising people's awareness of vigilance and proactive prevention.

Fourth, continue to inform and disseminate the situation and results of the implementation of the tasks of rearranging and streamlining the apparatus of the political system according to the direction of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat. Information and dissemination activities must be proactive and ahead of the direction of public opinion so that the rearrangement and streamlining of the apparatus can be effectively implemented in the political system.

Fifth, strengthen the mobilization of journalists to actively participate in the 2025 Political Contest on Protecting Ideological Foundation organized by the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; at the same time, strengthen propaganda about the Contest on the unit's media platforms (the deadline for receiving entries is May 30, 2025).

At the same time, the Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission requested press agencies to promote the important conferences of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee that will take place during the month, specifically: Thematic Conference "on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation", held on the morning of May 5, 2025, in person in the Province and online connection to district, commune and equivalent points, reported by Dr. Nguyen Quan, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Science and Technology; Conference to summarize 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the 12th Politburo; commending typical examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, scheduled to be held on the morning of May 16, 2025, at Sen Hong Hall. Accordingly, the Conference was held in the Province, recorded and broadcast live on Dong Thap Radio and Television Station.
