DTO - To support people on their journey home for the holidays of April 30 and May 1 when traveling through the districts of Thap Muoi, Thanh Binh, Chau Thanh, the Traffic Police Department of Dong Thap Provincial Police coordinated with the local police and the District Youth Union to organize a "Friendly Rest Stop".

In Thap Muoi district, on Hung Vuong street (Hamlet 2, My An town), the Traffic Police Department, My An town Police, Thap Muoi District Youth Union organized the distribution of mineral water, cold towels, dumplings, milk... to people returning home for the holiday. At the same time, they combined propaganda and reminded people to do a good job of ensuring traffic safety. On this occasion, the Executive Committee of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Sangha of My An town and Phu Dien commune, the rice porridge charity group of Thap Muoi Regional General Hospital coordinated to distribute free vegetarian food and drinks to people.

In Tan Phu commune, Thanh Binh district, the “Love Rest Stop” is located on Vo Van Kiet street (in front of the People's Committee). Every person traveling through this section of the road receives a free drink and cold towel. There are more than 2,000 bottles of mineral water, 2,000 cold towels distributed to people by union members, youth, police and military forces. The funding is mobilized by units from socialized sources and supported by benefactors.

In Chau Thanh district, the Traffic Police Department of Dong Thap Provincial Police in coordination with the District Youth Union organized a "Love Rest Stop" on National Highway 80 (at the gate of the District Culture - Sports and Broadcasting Center). During this period, the participating forces will provide and distribute over 1,000 portions of buns, bread, cakes, nearly 10,000 bottles of drinking water and free cold towels to people on their journey home for the holidays. The implementation cost was mobilized by the Traffic Police Department and Chau Thanh District Youth Union from benefactors inside and outside the province.

The activity "Lovely Rest Stop" is very meaningful, helping travelers feel more warm-hearted when they have a place to stop to regain their health and stay awake to continue their journey.
