The domestic market is recording a strong recovery in production and business activities after a period of stagnation. Small-scale industries such as livestock farming, farming, grocery business, food service or local transportation are all showing positive signs of recovery. However, according to many market studies, the biggest challenge for households and individual businesses today is not in ideas or labor resources but in the ability to access loans with reasonable interest rates, flexibility and convenient procedures.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam is helping Agribank staff harvest tomato gardens in greenhouses.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, owner of an organic vegetable farm in Hoa Binh, in the past, every time the seedlings started to grow, they were affected by pests and diseases, especially during the harvest season, when the orchard was often devastated and desolate. As a small business owner, Ms. Tam had many difficulties in accessing capital to invest in facilities. It was only when she received timely financial support from Agribank that the capital problem was truly resolved.

In many rural and suburban areas or even central areas, many individuals like Ms. Tam still have difficulty accessing formal credit sources due to limited collateral or complicated procedures. Having a loan program with preferential interest rates, short terms, and quick disbursement can be the key to opening up business opportunities, reinvestment, and overcoming temporary difficulties.

In order to promptly support individual customers like Ms. Tam to access preferential capital for production and business, in 2024, Agribank launched a preferential short-term loan program exclusively for individual customers. Thanks to the VND 2 billion loan from this program, Ms. Tam was able to invest in the construction of two large-scale greenhouses. After only a short time, the rows of melons and eggplants that had struggled to survive in harsh natural conditions have now blossomed and borne fruit in a more modern and stable farming environment.

Agribank has been, is and will continue to affirm its role as a "trusted companion" of millions of small businesses and production households across the country.

Following the successful credit program in 2024 and to affirm Agribank's commitment to accompany the recovery and development of household economy, rural economy and urban small traders, Agribank continues to implement a new preferential credit program for individual customers. The credit program with a total limit of up to VND 50,000 billion is applied from April 2, 2025 to June 30, 2025 or until the program is fully disbursed. The program applies a preferential interest rate of 4.5%/year, bringing practical benefits to customers in the context that capital costs are increasingly becoming an important factor affecting business efficiency. In addition, Agribank also offers many flexible lending methods suitable for actual needs such as single loans, loans according to limits, or overdrafts on payment accounts. Approval and disbursement will comply with current regulations of Agribank and specific conditions of the program.

The remarkable point of this credit program lies not only in the competitive interest rate but also in the flexibility and practical design of the product. Agribank has cleverly balanced the strict regulations of bank credit with the practical requirements of borrowers.

The story of Mr. Dao Duy Khanh, owner of Hung Luyen garment factory in Thanh Tri, Hanoi, further proves the effectiveness of capital for individual customers at this time. Mr. Khanh shared that he had encountered many difficulties in business operations due to lack of capital. After that, thanks to the loan from Agribank, he has now developed two garment factories with an area of over 300m², next to a main store in the town center.

“I always appreciate Agribank’s support throughout my startup and development process. From the initial loan procedures, the way credit officers guide the application to the quick disbursement, everything is very clear and reputable. With this preferential program, I am planning to borrow more to invest in machinery and expand the export market for processed goods,” Mr. Khanh added.

Stories like those of Ms. Tam and Mr. Khanh not only reflect customers' trust, but are also vivid proof of Agribank's long-term companionship in the journey of developing individual production and business in Vietnam.

In particular, in the current context, when the financial market is constantly fluctuating, interest rates tend to fluctuate strongly, the commitment to a specific preferential interest rate within a limited period of time is a "golden" opportunity for people to take advantage of borrowing capital, reinvesting in production and stabilizing their lives. By proactively adjusting credit policies, improving service quality and expanding loan forms suitable to actual needs, Agribank has, is and will continue to affirm its role as a "trusted companion" of millions of small businesses and production households across the country.
