On January 24, Quang Ninh Provincial Police announced that they had just issued a decision to administratively fine Mr. NST (residing in Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City) VND5 million after using a social media account to share false information.

Previously, on November 26, 2024, the Internal Political Security Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Police discovered that Facebook account "ST" commented on a post in the group "My Hometown Quang Ninh" related to the recruitment of teachers in Ha Long City with the content "4-500 million/position".

Through working with the above account owner, Mr. NST admitted to posting false content and voluntarily removed the comment, while also pledging not to repeat the offense.

Based on the nature and severity of the violation, the police agency administratively fined Mr. NST 5 million VND for taking advantage of social networks to provide false information, damaging the reputation of agencies and organizations.
