On the morning of April 11, with the technical support of the Wildlife Conservation Center in Vietnam and the Forest Protection Department of Da Nang City, the Rescue Team of Cuc Phuong National Park safely brought 18 endangered, precious and rare wild animals from Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City to the Rescue, Conservation and Development Center of Cuc Phuong National Park.
Accordingly, the 18 forest animals mentioned above include: 12 deer (Rusa unicolor), 2 pig-tailed macaques (Macaca leonina), 3 red-faced macaques (Macaca arctoides) and 1 python (Python molurus).
Mr. Le Manh Hung, Deputy Head of the Da Nang Forest Protection Department said: "These 18 wild animals were transferred by the Thanh Khe District People's Committee. We selected and entrusted them to Cuc Phuong National Park for the purpose of sharing and supplementing genetic resources, contributing to preparing the healthiest wild animals, serving the direction of re-wilding some endangered, rare species that are threatened with extinction in the wild".

Mr. Le Phuong Trieu, Deputy Director of Cuc Phuong National Park, said that currently, many units and individuals are transferring rare wild animals to Cuc Phuong's Rescue and Conservation Center in particular and conservation facilities nationwide in general. This is a positive sign, proving that the work of wildlife conservation under the Government's direction is widely spread, and the community is interested and responsive.
According to Mr. Trieu, transferring animals to facilities with adequate conditions for care and conservation is an action that not only demonstrates responsibility in conservation work but also has a noble humanitarian meaning. Thereby, it brings the opportunity to return to the natural environment for many wild animals.
Cuc Phuong National Park is the first National Park in Vietnam, known as the "Conservation Capital" of Vietnam, currently caring for, nurturing and conserving thousands of individuals of many rare, endangered and precious wildlife species.
The conservation programs in Cuc Phuong are all regional and world-class, some of which include the conservation program for endangered and rare primates; the conservation program for tortoises and freshwater turtles; or the conservation program for carnivores and pangolins....
With an area of nearly 200 hectares, this is expected to be an ideal home to help rescue, restore health, nurture and care for conservation, bringing the opportunity to "Revive" many wild animals.
