Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group Ngo Hoang Ngan: Vinacomin strengthens corporate governance in an advanced, modern direction and follows a streamlined organizational model, improving the Group's production and business efficiency and competitiveness.

Specifically, clean coal production will reach 39.5 million tons, an increase of 1.5 million tons compared to 2024; coal consumption will reach 51.5 million tons, an increase of 2.5 million tons compared to 2024.

Vinacomin sets a target of total industry revenue of VND 180,000 billion, an increase of 8% compared to 2024; strives to pay the highest budget; investment value reaches over VND 11,000 billion, an increase of 12% compared to 2024 in accordance with the direction of the Central and Government.

At the conference of the Prime Minister working with state-owned enterprises pioneering in digital transformation and promoting growth on the morning of April 15, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vinacomin Ngo Hoang Ngan said that Vinacomin has developed solutions to realize this goal.

Firstly, Vincomin will focus on domestic coal production, reduce imports, and ensure adequate coal supply for electricity and domestic industries.

Second, strengthen corporate governance in an advanced, modern direction and according to a streamlined organizational model, improving the Group's production and business efficiency and competitiveness.

Third, promote investment, strictly control progress and quality, especially large projects in the Group's main economic production fields. At the same time, actively implement other investment projects when assigned by the Government.

Fourth, promote research and innovation, apply science and technology, and implement digital transformation in all areas of production and business, especially in relation to the modernization of mineral exploitation and processing. According to Mr. Ngan, Vinacomin has completed the Group's digital transformation project and is working with relevant partners.

Fifth, the Group continues to effectively and synchronously implement solutions of the environmental sector, proactively respond to climate change, develop sustainably according to green, clean criteria and in harmony with the development of localities where the Group's projects are located.

Sixth, pay attention to social security work and production and business activities with the goal of harmonious development with localities, especially in mineral exploitation and site clearance for production.

Also according to Vinacomin Chairman Ngo Hoang Ngan, recently, the Government, the Prime Minister and ministries and branches have resolutely removed difficulties for the Group in licensing and extending licenses for a number of mines. This will make the Group's production, business and investment activities in 2025 and the following years more open.

To create momentum to promote production and ensure the Group's development, Vinacomin's representative also proposed that ministries and branches allow the Group to not auction mineral exploitation rights for the Sin Quyen copper mine in Lao Cai and bauxite mines in Lam Dong and Dak Nong so that exploration and project preparation work can be guaranteed to be on schedule according to the criteria for planning, exploration, exploitation and mineral processing in the 2021-2030 period approved by the Prime Minister.
