VCK Group continues sustainable cooperation with Japanese partners

On April 17, Mountainous Rural Development and Construction Company Limited (VCK Group) continued to affirm its commitment to sustainable cooperation with Japanese partners through the signing of a memorandum of understanding to supply long-term titanium slag for the period 2025-2030. This memorandum marks an important step forward in the strategic cooperation between VCK Group, Sojitz Corporation and Osaka Titanium Technologies (OTC) - three partners who have long been associated in the field of titanium mining and processing, contributing to raising the Vietnamese brand in the international market.

VCK Group is headquartered in Thai Nguyen province - the center of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region, where the reserves of titanium placer and parent ore are estimated at 18 million tons.

Starting as a small business established in 2000, VCK Group has now become one of the prestigious brands in the metallurgical industry, especially in the production of titanium slag and alloy cast iron.

Since 2008, the Company has invested in building a Titanium Slag and Alloy Iron Plant in Dong Dat Commune, Phu Luong District (Thai Nguyen), with a total investment of more than 500 billion VND.

Currently, the factory operates with 6 modern furnaces. VCK Group's titanium slag products have a TiO₂ content of up to 92%, meeting export standards to demanding markets such as Japan.



Since its inception, VCK Group has identified an international cooperation strategy with reputable partners to develop products and expand markets. Sojitz Corporation, a leading Japanese trading group with more than 400 subsidiaries worldwide, is a strategic partner of VCK Group, supporting the Company in building an export roadmap and connecting with international markets.

Osaka Titanium Technologies (OTC), with over 80 years of experience in titanium production and also a supplier of high-quality titanium to the aerospace industry, including Airbus; plays an important role in the consumption of VCK Group's titanium slag products.

The signing of this memorandum of understanding is not only an important milestone in the sustainable cooperative relationship between VCK Group and Japanese partners, but also an important step in VCK's global strategy.

Mr. Truong Dinh Viet, General Director of VCK Group, said: “International cooperation with large corporations such as Sojitz and OTC not only helps us improve our competitiveness but also opens up opportunities to access the global value chain, thereby elevating Vietnamese brands in the international market.”
