On the morning of April 25, Working Group No. 3, the Steering Committee for the merger of administrative units of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces held a meeting to agree on key tasks to be implemented in the coming time. Comrade Hoang Gia Long, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee and Comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee co-chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, representatives of the member sectors of Working Group No. 3 reported on the progress of the implementation of the merger task and key contents. Accordingly, Tuyen Quang province has developed a plan to arrange working headquarters for the agencies after the merger, and conducted a survey on accommodation and travel conditions for the staff, civil servants and public employees. Many headquarters have been upgraded, renovated or newly built to meet the requirements for workplaces and official housing. The province has also developed a specific plan to support the travel and living of officials transferred from Ha Giang.

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Gia Long emphasized: The biggest challenge now is to solve the housing problem for Ha Giang officials when they move to work in Tuyen Quang province. He proposed to clarify the number and specific positions that will continue to work in Ha Giang, from which there will be a suitable arrangement plan. The Steering Committee assigned departments and branches of Ha Giang province to urgently synthesize the positions registered to work at the headquarters of Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang to submit a specific plan.

Synthesizing the opinions at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Tuan requested the departments and branches of the two provinces to strengthen the protection of data and shared assets, review the document system and information technology infrastructure to select the optimal solution for shared use after the merger. Assign the Department of Home Affairs of Tuyen Quang province to coordinate with the corresponding agencies of Ha Giang province to develop a specific merger plan. At the same time, the Department of Finance needs to synthesize and calculate in detail the needs for office buildings, means of transportation, and accommodation conditions for officials. A clear understanding of housing needs and the number of accompanying relatives will be the basis for the Steering Committee to make appropriate decisions, ensuring stability in the process of implementing the merger./.
