At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Ba Tong - Vice President and Chief Representative of the Southern Region, Vietnam Association of Supporting Industries (VASI) informed about the Association's activities.

Established in March 2017, VASI currently has nearly 400 members nationwide, which are enterprises operating in the supporting industry sector. VASI's main activities include: Organizing courses and consulting programs; participating in and organizing domestic and international fairs and exhibitions; connecting businesses through B2B activities; and supporting the implementation of initiatives and projects on the development of the supporting industry.

VASI representative said that Binh Duong province has favorable factors such as an advanced education and training system with universities: Eastern International, Viet Duc, Thu Dau Mot and vocational training schools... Modern traffic infrastructure: Ring Road 3, 4; Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway; Suoi Tien - New City metro line... Key industrial parks, World Trade Center (WTC), scientific research space, incubator, smart manufacturing center and green transformation... These are favorable conditions and an ideal environment for the formation and development of Binh Duong Supporting Industry Association (BASI) to contribute to promoting the supporting industry of the province in particular and the Southern region in general.

Welcoming the establishment of the Binh Duong Supporting Industry Association (BASI), Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh assessed that BASI will be an important bridge to promote supporting industry activities in Binh Duong and the Southern region. He requested the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Home Affairs and related sectors to accompany and support the Association in professional activities throughout the establishment and operation process.
