General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, said that in the sacred land of Tay Ninh, the base of the Central Bureau for Southern Vietnam, with pride, emotion and deep gratitude, the Central Public Security Party Committee - Ministry of Public Security solemnly organized the art program "Memories Left Behind" to honor and express gratitude for the great contributions of the army, people and the Public Security force in general (including the Southern Security force and Public Security officers supporting the Southern battlefield) in the resistance war against American imperialism, liberating the South, and unifying the country.

General Luong Tam Quang also said that in the resistance war against the US imperialists to save the country, the greatest achievement of the cause of national liberation and social liberation led by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the People's Public Security force in general, the Southern Security force and the Public Security officers supporting the Southern battlefield in particular made great contributions. In each assigned position and task, in any difficult or dangerous circumstances, the Southern Security force and the Public Security officers supporting the Southern battlefield did not fear difficulties and hardships, were resilient, fought, bravely, and sacrificed, achieved many feats and excellent achievements, fought, defeated the enemy's intelligence and espionage plans, pacification and repatriation activities, and protected the safety of the headquarters of the Central Office for Southern Vietnam.

After 21 years of arduous and fierce fighting, more than 10,000 officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security force sacrificed their lives heroically on the battlefield. Nearly 5,000 wounded soldiers sacrificed their blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for socialism, for the cause of liberating the South and unifying the country. Thousands of officers and soldiers of the Southern security force were captured, imprisoned, and brutally tortured by the enemy in enemy prisons and detention camps. Those heroic contributions and sacrifices have embellished the glorious tradition of the heroic and immortal Vietnam People's Public Security along with the mountains, rivers, and country, continuing to write brilliant golden pages in the history of the nation. The Fatherland, the people, and generations of officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security will forever remember the contributions and sacrifices of the national heroes.

General Luong Tam Quang emphasized that, before the heroic martyrs, the entire People's Public Security force promises to the Party, the State, the people, and the predecessors to uphold the heroic and glorious tradition of previous generations, wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland and the people, be exemplary, take the lead in implementing the Party's policies, firmly ensure security and order in all situations, promote gratitude activities, build a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern People's Public Security force, making worthy contributions to the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army, leading the country firmly into a new era.

The program “Memories Left Behind” has the participation of more than 500 professional actors, 120 soldiers of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Police, cavalry, military dog ​​forces and many military equipment. The program is staged in the form of semi-realistic scenes, combining epic political art and outdoor theater, using a variety of artistic languages ​​such as cinema, music, dance, ballet and modern performance technology.

Not only an art program, “Memories Left Behind” is also a profound gratitude to generations of People’s Public Security soldiers who sacrificed for the peace of the country. The program arouses national pride, connects history with the present, and looks to the future.

At the program, Party and State leaders presented gifts to representatives of the People's Armed Forces Heroes, revolutionary veterans, former officers of the Central Security Department of the Southern Region and former officers of the Tay Ninh Security Department.
