* Hello MC Vu Manh Cuong, to "stay strong" on political programs, what do you think are the most important factors that an MC needs to have?

- MC Vu Manh Cuong: Extensive knowledge of history, empathy for each story and the ability to master the stage with absolute precision and accuracy. And most importantly, the MC's political will and ideals must be steadfast, so that each word spoken must be what is contained in the heart and needs to be conveyed.

* You once shared that your father was a soldier. How did he feel when his son was able to participate in such a big program on such an important occasion?

- I have hosted many political programs, and have been fortunate to be able to host major national events such as the 40th, 45th, and now 50th anniversaries of national reunification. And in all those times hosting political programs, especially those related to the military, my parents talked to me and inspired me a lot, as a way to pass on the torch between the next generations about tradition and national pride.

My grandfather was a soldier during the resistance war against the French, my father was an army officer during the resistance war against the Americans, my mother was a local guerrilla and also a teacher, my younger brother is currently an officer in the border guards. So the stories of history, the resistance war to save the country, the sacrifices and losses and the efforts to build the country have been ingrained in me since I was a child, as natural as food and water. So when talking about the historical imprints of 50 years, I find the images and emotions full and genuine.

* How do you balance personal emotions and professionalism and solemnity when leading a national event like the 50th anniversary?

- I have to hold on to a common thread, which is representation. Because it is not simply speaking in public, but also my way of expressing the voice of young people who are responsible for what our ancestors have worked so hard to build and used their blood and bones to preserve.

* Many people say that being able to participate in these big programs is a special milestone in the career, what about Vu Manh Cuong?

- This milestone only comes once every 50 years. As mentioned above, I am lucky to have had the 40-year and 45-year milestones, which are very precious. And I hope I will have another 55-year milestone. This is truly a great source of encouragement and pride, a driving force that makes me continue to strive and be more passionate about the work I am doing.

Must have a spirit of steel...

* The pressure of leading an event with the participation of senior leaders and millions of live viewers is enormous. How did you prepare mentally and professionally to face this?

- For me, knowledge is a great support for confidence and engaging conversation. I have constantly learned and researched from historical documents, script documents and especially from the guest characters themselves. Deeply understanding and loving what I say is how I appreciate what the profession has given me. I believe that empathy and sincere emotions from the heart will make each program special and leave a mark in the hearts of the audience.

* During the preparation for the 50th anniversary programs, what moment made you most emotional and memorable?

- That is the TV show "Epic of Peace" of the Ministry of National Defense. I had to stay up many nights, eat - sleep - live with the program script, so that every word spoken must have weight in content and sensitivity to current events. I even took the script around the place where I lived, talking to myself to be able to "absorb" the script in the most profound way.

* What special experiences does the role of main MC at the 50th anniversary celebration bring compared to hosting entertainment programs or beauty pageants that you often take on?

- It is the feeling of bursting into joy when being immersed in the moment of recreating the resounding victories of our army and people. It is the choking when there are families who have been waiting for news of their loved ones who have not returned for more than 50 years, or children who cannot return to their mothers and forever lie at the city gate, just a few minutes before the moment of total victory. It is the feeling of joy from the stage to the audience, thousands of hearts as one, eagerly reliving the memories of 50 years ago. Unforgettable! There are times when I feel like I am no longer an MC, but a soldier soaring with joy on the day of great victory.

* What do you hope the audience will feel and remember through your hosting of this important anniversary event?

- Gratitude to previous generations who sacrificed their youth and blood to gain precious peace, national pride as citizens of a country with a glorious history and the responsibility to join hands to preserve the achievements of our ancestors, continuing to strive to bring our homeland forward.

* You were also honored to be chosen as one of the outstanding artists participating in the parade on the morning of April 30. Can you share your feelings?

- It is a great honor and I am proud to be one of the representative artists of Ho Chi Minh City participating in this event. For me, it is a recognition of my contributions to the cultural and artistic activities of Ho Chi Minh City over the past many years.

* During the practice for the parade on April 30, what difficulties did you encounter?

- Giving up many big shows to focus on practicing and coordinating with other artists is a challenge. But for me, all the difficulties cannot compare to the joy and pride I have with other outstanding artists of the city.

* Thank you MC Vu Manh Cuong for taking the time to share!
