At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that labor cooperation is one of the important areas that helps connect the two economies and promote comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and the UAE; highly appreciated the effective working session between the Vietnamese Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the UAE Minister of Human Resources and the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of human resources between the two countries, expressing his belief that the document will help perfect the legal framework, contributing to promoting cooperation in human resources between the two countries, while further ensuring the legitimate rights of Vietnamese workers working in the UAE.
In the coming time, the Prime Minister requested the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and the Minister himself to actively coordinate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to study and assess the UAE's labor needs, and develop a labor cooperation plan based on 5 criteria: Vietnam's labor structure; specific labor fields that the UAE is in need of; the number of workers needed in each field; labor quality requirements; and specific implementation stages in the short term (3 years), medium term (5 years) and long term (10 years).

The Prime Minister especially emphasized the importance of labor training, asking the UAE Ministry of Human Resources to support vocational training so that Vietnamese workers not only improve their skills and professional ethics but also master the culture, laws and customs of the UAE.
Thanking the Prime Minister for taking the time to receive him, UAE Minister of Human Resources Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al-Awar said that the UAE has a great demand for foreign workers, highly appreciated and affirmed that Vietnamese workers have made very important contributions to the labor market in the UAE.
The UAE Minister of Human Resources fully agreed with the cooperation proposals of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, affirming that he will coordinate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to develop specific plans to increase the number of Vietnamese workers sent to the UAE; said that there is a plan to send a working delegation from the UAE Ministry of Human Resources to Vietnam in the near future, and proposed to support vocational training centers in Vietnam in training workers, especially in foreign languages, law and culture.
