Promoting the domestic automobile industry
As a global automobile brand with the mission of bringing pioneering products, Omoda & Jaecoo not only contributes to the development of the Vietnamese automobile industry but also wishes to promote domestic economic growth through the following orientations:
Investing in technology and manufacturing in Vietnam, the company is committed to expanding investment in green technology, advanced production lines and smart car ecosystems. The investment in building a factory in Thai Binh province is the clearest proof of this orientation. The factory will be implemented in three phases, with a total investment of more than 800 million USD, expected to be operational in 2026. This will not only help create high-quality products but also contribute to improving the competitiveness of the Vietnamese automobile industry in the international arena.

Cooperating with domestic enterprises, with great support from Geleximco Group, the enterprise is having an advantage in seeking cooperation opportunities with domestic component suppliers, manufacturing partners and service units to develop a sustainable supply chain, increase the localization rate and create more jobs for Vietnamese workers.
Sharing with reporters of Industry and Trade Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang - Deputy General Director of Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam - said that the factory in Thai Binh not only helps businesses optimize production costs, meet domestic demand but also improve the competitiveness of products in Vietnam. At the same time, this investment is also consistent with the long-term strategy to enjoy tariff incentives from free trade agreements in the region.
“Increasing the localization rate to promote the domestic automobile industry, the company aims to achieve a localization rate of at least 40% in 2026 - the first year the factory goes into operation. At the same time, with a capacity of 200,000 vehicles/year, we plan to expand exports to right-hand drive markets around the world,” Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang revealed.
In addition to providing high-quality models such as Omoda C5 and Jaecoo J7, the company also focuses on developing human resources. Along with ensuring the construction progress of the assembly plant in Thai Binh, the company has been building specialized training programs on automotive technology, technical support and technology transfer, helping to improve the skills of Vietnamese workers and create a generation of talented young engineers, ready for the development of the domestic automobile industry.
At the Prime Minister's seminar with Chinese enterprises held on February 28, Mr. Simon Liu - General Director of Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam affirmed: We are committed to long-term investment in Vietnam, not only bringing quality products but also contributing to the overall growth of Vietnam. |
