The Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the situation of Vietnamese citizens in Israel, Iran, Lebanon, and Bangladesh are all safe and stable.

“Vietnamese citizens in the above areas, if they need to evacuate people and property, especially in Lebanon, need to evacuate to third countries or Vietnam, as well as comply with regulations and instructions on safety and security measures of the local authorities,” the Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

Regarding citizen protection, Mr. Doan Khac Viet noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had previously issued a warning for Vietnamese citizens not to travel to Bangladesh, Lebanon, Iran and Israel at this time.

Vietnamese citizens in these areas also need to be aware of protecting themselves and their families, as well as not going to crowded areas where there is a risk of protests or complicated war developments.

Regarding the situation in Myanmar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to advise citizens not to travel to areas with complicated developments such as Shan and Kayin states unless absolutely necessary. If citizens are in those areas, they must quickly have a plan to evacuate people and property to a safe area or return to Vietnam, said Mr. Doan Khac Viet.

Following the direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Middle East, as well as in Bangladesh and Myanmar, has requested local authorities to cooperate and ensure maximum safety for Vietnamese citizens.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reminded Vietnamese citizens in the above areas to regularly monitor information and recommendations from local authorities, warnings from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as Vietnamese representative agencies in these countries to be able to respond promptly.

In case of needing assistance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens contact the citizen protection hotlines of Vietnamese representative agencies in other countries, or the citizen protection hotline of the Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website or by phone (+84) 981 848484.

Bangladesh is facing serious political upheaval after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country under pressure from protesters against her civil service recruitment policy.

The situation in the Middle East is also tense as Israel and its allies prepare for possible attacks by Iran and its proxies in response to the assassination of the leader of Hamas in Tehran and a senior Hezbollah figure last week.
