The total number of tourists to Hanoi in July is estimated at 2.52 million, up 7.4%. In the first 7 months of 2024, the total number of tourists to Hanoi is estimated at 16.44 million, up 11.8% over the same period last year. International visitors reached 3.43 million, up 42.5%, of which 2.42 million international visitors stayed. Domestic visitors are estimated at 13.01 million, up 5.8%. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 63,602 billion, up 18.9%.

The average hotel room occupancy rate in July 2024 was estimated at 58.57%, down 9.2%. Hanoi currently has 3,760 accommodation establishments with 71,246 rooms, including 606 hotels and apartment buildings rated from 1 to 5 stars.

Hanoi currently has 45 food and beverage service establishments, 43 shopping service establishments, and 7 entertainment establishments recognized as meeting tourist service standards. These establishments have attracted and served a large number of tourists and residents.

Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, Dang Huong Giang, said that from now until the end of 2024, the Department will continue to innovate the model of organization, management and conservation of historical relics and national scenic spots, especially the Huong Son complex (My Duc district). At the same time, the Department will complete the draft report for the Department of Justice to appraise the dossier of the Hanoi People's Committee's Decision on "Regulations on the model of management of city-level tourist areas" and advise on the report assessing the results of implementing the set of criteria to guide environmental protection at tourist areas and spots in 2024.

In order to attract tourists, the Hanoi Tourism Department will organize many major events such as the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival, a series of sports tourism events and a cultural and historical tourism product festival. In addition, the Department will organize a conference to meet and dialogue with tourism businesses and announce a domestic tourism stimulus program.

In addition, Hanoi will build a pilot model for developing agricultural and rural tourism associated with new rural construction and implement a plan to build a community tourism model in craft villages and tourist destinations, associated with the traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities.

Hanoi Tourism Department will also promote and advertise images of new destinations and tours on media channels, promote the application of digital technology in tourism activities and continue to digitize the information system on tourist areas, attractions and tourism service facilities.
