On the afternoon of March 28, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation with Phuoc An Port Investment and Exploitation Petroleum Joint Stock Company (PAP) - the largest port in Dong Nai province.
This is an important milestone, opening a new step in the cooperative relationship between SNP and PAP. At the same time, it contributes to improving the operational efficiency of the southern region's supply chain, towards sustainable development and more comprehensive connectivity in the logistics sector.
Mr. Truong Hoang Hai - General Director of Phuoc An Port - commented that the combination of PAP's modern infrastructure potential and SNP's leading port management and exploitation experience is expected to create a comprehensive and effective logistics ecosystem. Thereby helping businesses reduce transportation costs and optimize delivery time.
On this occasion, Phuoc An port welcomed the first ship of SITC cargo shipping line to dock.
This is the first train to be transferred from the international service route at Tan Cang - Cat Lai to operate at Phuoc An port.
"The event is a testament to the strategic cooperation between PAP and SNP, aiming to optimize the supply chain and enhance port exploitation capacity," Mr. Hai shared.
In addition, the two units also committed to implementing many incentives and service quality for shipping lines, improving the quality of logistics services and freight transport at a time when traffic and output in the Southeast region are increasing day by day.

According to Mr. Hai, in the coming time, PAP will continue to expand its exploitation scale, invest in modern technology and improve service quality to meet the increasing demands of the market.
In particular, PAP aims to develop a green and sustainable port by pioneering the application of "green port" standards, investing in modern infrastructure systems, using clean energy, digital technology and smart operating solutions.
Phuoc An is also the first port in the region to use all-electric equipment. This not only helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the environment, but also optimizes operating efficiency, reduces fuel costs, and enhances worker safety.
Phuoc An Port to Operate 1.3 Million TEUs in 2025
Phuoc An is currently the largest port in Dong Nai province. According to PAP, Phuoc An port is expected to reach a cargo throughput of 1.3 million TEUs in 2025, then gradually increase and reach 4 million TEUs in 2026.
Phuoc An Port is divided into port sub-areas (183ha) and logistics service sub-areas (550ha). The port is planned with a total of 9 container berths and 4 barge berths, divided into 3 development phases.
With a strategic location near Long Thanh airport, Ben Luc - Long Thanh and Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressways... Phuoc An port has many conditions to become one of the important logistics centers of the region.
